Chapter 16

Maya's POV

Riley and I were trying to find away to bring all the snacks upstairs while Lucas and Farkle were setting up in penthouse.

"So how's are things with you can Farkle?" I asked.

"Awkward," Riley said, "I haven't really talked to him that much."

"Oh."

"How are you feeling about the whole break up thing?" Riley asked.

I give her a glare. I had just finally stopped thinking about Zayn today.

"Sorry," Riley gives me a glance.

"It's fine I just need to move on."

"You need to find someone like Lucas."

"No ones like Lucas."

"Did you ever think that no one else is like Lucas for a reason?"

"What would that be?"

"Because he's the only guy for you."

Lucas's POV

Maya and Riley were gone stairs bringing bags of chips and cups upstairs. Farkle was helping me set up everything around the house.

"So Maya broke up with Zayn?" Farkle asked.

"Yup," I answered back.

I was so tried of talking about Zayn. I just wanted him out of my life for good.

"Do you think they'll stay broken up for good?" Farkle asked.

"I don't know maybe."

"Maybe tonight you can work some of your magic moves on her."

"Dude she just broke up with her boyfriend."

"And she needs someone to help her get over him."

"I don't want to be the rebound."

"Right."

"I want whatever I have with Maya to be real not some one night thing."

"I get it," Farkle said walking over to me.

I changed the subject, "So what's up with you and Riley?"

"I'm not sure she hasn't really talked to me," Farkle said.

"Maybe she has a good reason," I lied.

Maya and Riley walked into the kitchen with tons of bags.

"Let's put all these out," Maya said pulling out the various snacks.

"Alright let's get started," I said.
