Lucas's POV
I stayed at practice and at work for as late as I could. When I got home it was about 9:00 and I figured she would be out somewhere or maybe getting ready for bed.
I walked in the door this time so she wouldn't hear the evaluator doors open. My plan didn't work very well though Maya was sitting on the couch and she looked up when she when the door open.
"Your home," Maya got up from the couch.
I throw my bag down, "Yup."
"Lucas I need to tell you something," Maya said.
"What do you want me to move out now?" I asked.
"No," Maya walked over to me.
"Lucas I've been doing a lot of thinking about everything."
"And?"
"I want to give this a go."
I leaned down and planted a kiss on her. This was the first time I actually kissed Maya when I wasn't drunk.
"But I don't want things to change between us," Maya said.
"How so?" I asked.
"If we ever break up we need to stay friends."
"We're never going to break up."
"Good," Maya smiled, "Now kiss me again."
"Gladly," I leaned down and acted like I was going to kiss her on the lips but at the last second I kissed her cheek.
"Tease," Maya yelled.
I leaned down and actually kissed her lips this time.
