Maya's POV

I bursted threw the hospital doors and ran as fast as I could over to the lady by the counter.

"Can I help you?" She asks.

"I need to see Lucas Friar," I choke out.

"Are you family?" she asks looking back at her computer.

"No I'm his girlfriend," or at least I think I still am.

Riley and Farkle coming running threw the doors out of breath most likely chasing after me.

"I'm sorry ma'am only family can see him on," she gives me a sympathetic look.

"Please I need to see him."

"I'm sorry rules are rules."

"Can't you bend them this one time?"

"I wish I could dear but I can't get fired from this job."

"Can you at least tell me what's going on?" I begged.

"I'm not sure what's going on with Mr. Friar his in with a couple doctors now," she said.

"Are his parents here with him?" Riley asked coming up behind me.

"Yes but don't you worry your friend is being taking care of by the best people out there."

"Can I wait here?" I asked.

"Of course take a seat," she pointed to rows of chairs.

Riley forced me to move out of the same spot I was standing in. She helped me over to a chair and sat down next to me. Farkle was over trying to talk to that lady again.

"Maya it's going to be fine," she rubbed my back, "Lucas is going to be fine."

"You don't know that."

"I can hope."

"I'm such an idiot."

"Your not an idiot."

"The whole reason he's here is because I kissed Zayn."

"People make mistakes."

"I've really done it this time."

Farkle walked back over to us with Lucas's parents. I jumped out of my seat towards them.

"What happened is Lucas okay?" I yelled.

"He's awake now," His mom says touch my shoulder.
