(KNB) Kotaro Hayama

|Things in common

Being a regular of the Rakuzan  basketball team, Kotaro was incredibly popular, aside from his childish personality he was loud to the point of annoyance, while you are quiet and calm, you were almost like Akashi in a way that you want everything to be perfect.  you two were totally the opposites so you try your best not to mingle to the said basketball player, however, avoiding him was difficult since you were the manager of the basketball team.

"(Y/N)-chaannnnn did you watch the show last night?! it was so amazing the main lea--"

"Tsk shut-up"

you cutted him off as you handed towels and water for everybody, it was their break from practice and Kotaro being Kotaro was loud even though you were just right in front of him. your reply may sound rude but it was the everyday scene inside the gym between you two, Kotaro will talk to you while you brush him off, it's just no topic he likes interest you, you two were totally opposites after all.

"alright, wrap it up! that's all for today, good work!"

the coach shouted, some start to leave to take a shower while the regulars stay and help you pick up the balls, you were picking up used towels and water bottles when Kotaro approach you and stop right in front of you, looking at you like a puppy.

"Wha-what?"

you step back minding the closeness between you two, Kotaro look away from you a blush forming in his cheeks.

"Go with me to the festival later!"

your eyes widen as you felt your cheeks become hot, is he asking you for a date? from the background you could hear Mibuchi and Nebuya snickering. 

"huhhhh why should i go with you?"

you quietly asked, only for Kotaro's ears only. he look back at you a grin dancing across his face.

"Because i like- no wait i mean i love you!"

 and like that you exploded it was not the first time someone asked you for a date, usually you rudely declined anyone who asked you out, but for some reason you can't decline Kotaro's invitation, he was just to innocent for his own good you can't bring yourself to hurt him but deep down you know it was just an excuse you know that  you like him, the way he calls your name, the way he can make your heart beat too fast by just smiling. 

"why? we have absolutely nothing in common you know, you don't even like things i like"

Kotaro just tilted his head and curiously look at you before speaking again.

"Do you breath oxygen?"

"....yeah"

"see....we have something in common"

you just sigh, before chuckling ,reasoning with guys like him was always  exhausting. 

"then pick me up at 7:00, don't be late or i'll leave without you"

then you left the gym not before hearing the three clap and congratulating Kotaro, well it won't hurt to give him a chance.
