Unexpected Surprises

A First Look

I got out of bed to quickly rush to the bathroom and throw up last night's dinner.This morning sickness is just really gross but that's what you get when you have unprotected sex.

Today I was supposed to meet Jennifer for lunch but before I meet up with her I made an appointment to my first ultrasound. I wanted to make sure my baby was healthy.

I got to the doctors and quickly checked in. After I signed in I sat by the waiting area. I heard my phone ring with an incoming text from my brother.

Derek: Hey Ally we miss you like crazy I know it's been only a couple of days but it feels like a whole year. Please call me or text me when you have a chance. Love you:)

Reading that text made me realize that I had totally forgot about my mom and brother. I cried just thinking about how much I miss them. Uggh hormones. Soon I heard my name being called and I was taken to a room.

"Hello Alison, my name is Dr. Lori and I will be your doctor throughout your whole pregnancy. " she smiled. "Alright sweetheart please lay down for me and pull up your shirt please.

I did as she said, only to feel a cold gel being squirted on my belly.

"Oh that feels cold,"I flinched

"Alright Alison there is your baby. " she smiled

I looked up to see a tiny white fetus on the screen. I started tearing. I wish Chris could be here, but I knew that if he were to find out about his kid he wouldn't wanna be around.

She wiped the gel off my belly and gave a me a copy and with that I left.

I wasn't feeling too good to go to lunch. I wanted to hang out with my hometown best friend but I felt extremely tired. I quickly texted Jennifer letting her know I wasn't feeling well and to take a rain check. Thank God she understood.

After a long nap I heard the doorbell ring. I figured it was probably Jenni since I asked her to come over.

I opened the door.

"Hey, how are you feeling? " she said giving me a tight hug.

"A lot better, but there's something I have to tell you." She nodded " Look I never got the chance to tell you but the reason I moved back here for a while is because I-Im pregnant."

Her mouth dropped in shock.

"Oh my gosh Ally, why didn't you tell me?" She said getting closer to me.

"I was scared you would judge me," I cried " I'm only eighteen! I don't know how to raise a kid."

"Ally your basically my sister and besides I love you." She let out giving me a side hug. "I do have a question though." I nodded "Who's the baby daddy? And does he know? "

"Chris Anderson and no," I whispered " I didn't want him knowing because it would probably ruin his and Dereks friendship, and they've been friends forever. "

"A, you need to tell him even though it doesn't seem right, but he deserves to know. I mean that baby is half his." She said. I shrugged. "Look just think about it please but no matter what I'll always be here for you."

I smiled and gave her a hug.
