Unexpected Surprises

Ever since the dinner from a month ago Chris hasn't spoken to his family. Damien and Josie have been going to court every other few week trying to fight for custody. Dereks relationship with Josie isn't good. They have been arguing a lot over stupid things but it's normal since Josie's mood swings are part of her pregnancy. On the other hand ever since Maleah was born Savannah has been trying to help out her little sister.  I'm really glad that Savannah has been getting along with her sister. Chris and I have been going amazing. We try to go out but it's hard with a newborn. We have also decided that we are not having anymore kids. We think that two is enough.

Later that night

The guys were on a business trip in Florida for a week which meant Josie and I were going to stay home and take care of the girls.

I unexpectedly heard the doorbell ring. I wasn't expecting anyone.

"Where you expecting someone?" I asked Josie who was sitting next to me.

"No" she replied

I got up to see who it was. To my surprise I saw Damien. Since he had seen me I might as well let him in.

"Hey what's up" I asked him

"Um not much but can I come in"

"Yea I guess"

"Is Josie home?" Damien asked

"Yea she's in the living room" I said as he followed me.

Josie saw who it was and played it cool. Even though she was probably fuming.

"Hey" Damien said to Josie

"Hey" she replied back to him

"Ali can I talk to Josie privately?" he asked

"Yea sure I'll be upstairs with the girls if you need me " I replied

"Thanks"

●Josie's POV ●

Ali went upstairs and Damien sat next to me. I had to admit he was still pretty hot. Wow what is wrong with me these hormones are really getting the best of me.

"So what do you need to talk about with me?" I asked Damien

"Well I wanted to say I'm sorry. Really sorry. I'm sorry that I cheated on you. I feeling like shit for doing that to you. I'm sorry that I've been distant lately. I'm sorry for what was said at the dinner.  But most of all I'm sorry for trying to force you into something that you didn't want. I know that you have a baby on the way and you have a boyfriend but I want us to at least have a relationship for Aaliyah. I'll even stop fighting for custody if we can come to an agreement right not." He said

"Look I'm still really hurt of what you said and did to me but I forgive you. Now as for the custody part I will have her one week and you can have her another week and that's how the pattern will go. Is that okay?" I asked hoping he would agree

He smiled "Yea we have a deal" he finally responded

"Good now about our relationship. We can be friends but nothing more than that. My relationship with Derek isn't good right now and the only reason that we really seem to be getting along is for the baby" I said but he frowned

"That's understandable hut we have a daughter together why can't we give us a try?" He asked looking crushed

"There is no us Damien. I just want us to be friends. At some point we had something but that's over." I said hoping it would stick in his brain.
