William and Emily refused to elaborate on whom she was going to meet. She sat t back her mind confuses at wo could be at home. They reached home after what seemed like an eternity. Pulling her trunk and bags out of the car she was practically running to the front door. She tripped twice, causing William to take her bags away from her.
Emily opened the front door and she suddenly felt nervous. She hesitated at the step. "Come, crescent,"Emily said. She walked slowly in following Emily.
She was not expecting to see them.
She stood still. They stood up. "Crescent,"the woman said. "Who are they?" she asked, turning to face William and Emily.
"We're your parents."
She stood very still. She didn't even blink. She just stood there. Maybe she had wrong. "What did you say?'she asked. "We're you're parents."
No. She hadn't heard them wrong. "All those times..in the forests.. you couldn't say?" She asked.
"We told you it wasn't the right time,"she said gently.
"I-uh, how'd you find me?"Crescent asked. "We've always known where you were. It just wasn't the right time. You're getting stronger."She said. She didn't say anything. "You were born at a wrong time. A child that would case disasters if they were to find out. Things have settled now. We can finally meet you and embrace you as our own.
"What? Whose they? Disasters?" Crescent asked,"and who are you?Your names, i mean."
"This may come as a shock but-" the woman said, the man however cut her off, "I'm Ares."
"Ares?"Crescent asked, disbelief written all over her face,"Asin, greek god?"
"Yes."
She laughed, "So , if you're ares. And I'm the child born at the wrong time. If, I remeber correctly about the book I read about Greek gods, you're aphrodite."She turned her gaze to the woamn, who was beaming "Yes,"she said.
"Are you serious?" Crescent asked.
"Yes,"William said.
"So, I'm the child you had, when you'll were having the affair,"Crescent asked.
"That would be correct,"they all choused
She ran a hand through her hair. These were her parents. She didn't want to believe it but something told her that it was true. As absurd as it was. "I, i don't know what to say,"Crescent said. I think I need to lie down."
"Crescent,"Aphrodite said,"We should talk."
"I need a moment,"Crescent said. She ran past them and up in her room, slamming the door behind her. she sat on the edge of her bed, head buried in her hands.
They were her parents. She layed down, staring up at the ceiling. The moons littered the ceiling. They were Greek gods. That..was insane.
She closed her eyes and her mind racing with thoughts along with her journey's exhaustion, she drifted off to sleep
