The next day, Crescent spent her time going to classes and finishing off her essays. The snow had turned into a snow storm outside. and although Crescent loved the snow she didn't want to freeze to death. The common room was full, seeing as the third years Herbologly lesson had been cancelled. It was buzzing and Crescent found it hard to concentrate on Snape's essay.

Gathering her books she headed up into the dorms which was nearly empty except for Emma who lay in bed with book. She looked up as Crescent walked in. "It's quite noisy down there, isn't it?" Emma asked. "Yup," Crescent replied jumping onto her bed. "what are you working on?"Emma asked as Crescent arranged her books on her bed. "Snape's essay,"she replied.

"I'm so glad to be going back home,"Emma said, sighing in content. "Me too,"Crescent said. She returned back to completing her essay exchanging words with Emma as she completed it. The bell rang, signalling that they should start heading to class. Stuffing her books in bag , she and Emma set off for potions. The Potions dungeon was freezing and her breath was visible as breathed in and out. The class was not nearly full seeing as there was a few more minutes before class started.

She sat at the back of the class and Jessica soon joined her, her hair all over the place with Miles trailing behind her. Jessica plopped down next to her while Miles sat in front of them and turned to face the two of them. "I don't wanna know,"Crescent said, as Jessica bega to speak,"I do not need to know the details about your love life."

"You pig,"Jessica said, hitting her arm as Crescent laughed. "We weren't doing anything,"Jessica said. "Sure, you weren't,"Crescent said, moving out of her Jessica reach. The chair tipped back and Crescent fell down, her cauldron landing besides her with a thud. Jessica and Miles burst out laughing while the rest of the class starred at her.

Professor Snape swept in and Jessica and Miles stopped laughing. Crescent scrambled to her feet and set her cauldron down on the table carefully. Their lesson got over fairly quickly, Snape taking off several points from their house. He seemed in an even badder mood, probably because it was Christmas and everybody was full of sunshine.

As their last class of the day was over, the trio along with the rest of their house made their way to their common room. The noise had increased since the last time Crescent had been there. Seeing as they needed to finish homework, Miles and Crescent decided to make their way to the library . Jessica had decided to stay back, saying she need a nap and that potions had drained her.

The library was nearly empty seeing as it was the last few days of term. Crescent would not have been there herself however she had to finish her Herbology homework which would take hopefully only an hour. As they approached the Library she saw Olver and and Yellow talking to each other. Crescent nugged Miles in the ribs. "What?"he asked loudly, knowing full well what Crescent wanted to show him. Yellow and Oliver turned to face them and Oliver sent a smile as she walked in. Yellow however remained emotionless as she watched them enter the library.

"What's up with Yellow,"Miles asked. Crescent shrugged, not interested by the fact of Yellow's unusual behaviour. They worked silently and just as they were walking out Fred and George ran towards her. They pulled her to a side calling out an apology to Miles, who looked stunned. They dragged her into a empty class. "He asked her out!"they shouted in her face. She took a step back."I know, since I convinced him to do so,"She replied.

"And it worked!"

"Did you'll doubt my abilities?"She asked, crossing her arms across her chest. "yes,"they siad and she she rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm glad I surpassed your expectations,"she said. She grabbed her bag and made to head out. "Wait!" George said,"We'll walk you back."She arched an eyebrow. "Why?"

"There's been another attack, didn't you hear?"Fred asked. "No, she said,"who was it?"

"Nearly Headless Nick and Justin Finch-Fletchley,"they answered. Crescent was stunned. "How do you attack someone that's already dead?"She croacked. Her throat had gone dry.

They shrugged. They walked her back the two talking between themselves about some product. Crescent mind was was too wrapped around the attack to listen to what they were talking about. The common room was buzzing when she stepped inside. jessica nearly knocked her down,"Did you hear?"

"about the attack?"

"No about the fact that I'm going to Spain for the winter break,"jessica said,"Of course about the attack!"

"What can attack someone that's already dead?"Crescent asked repeating her question that played over and over in her mind.

This seemed to be the question that everyone was asking. There was only two days left for term to end. People couldn't wait to get home. crescent, Miles and Jessica never walked without each other now. Rumours were spreading fast about HArry Potter. fred and George found this funny. They Marched in front of him, announcing his arrival. She spotted Oliver walking Yellow to her classes and she felt something shift inside her.

The last day of the term couldn't come faster. The three of them boarded the train eager to get home. Jessica kept on rambling about Spain. Miles and Crescent listened for 2 minutes before telling her to shut up. She however did not take heed to their words.

Emily and William were waiting for her. She ran towards them and wrapped them in a hug. However, as she pulled away she noticed that they looked nervous and anxious. "What's wrong?"She asked. She knew it wasn't about the attack. They were worried about the attacks but she just knew it wasn't that. They exchanged looks. "we didn't know,"Emily said, stumbling over her words. "know what?"crescent asked.

"We didn't want to spoil your time at Hogwarts, of curse this is an awful way to satrt the holidays, but there is nothing we can do."

"They insisted."

"What? Who?" Crescent's eyes darted between her two stepparents. They pulled her in a hug.

"No matter what. We still love you and you will always be our daughter. we will always be there. No matter what you choose." William said. Emily was sniffling.

"Now, come. There's some people you should meet."
