It was with content that Crescent followed Jessica and Miles back to the castle. Her bag was heavy with sweets from Honeydukes and tea.

They walked up to the common room  and Crescent  flopped down on her bed at once. She let out a yawn and lay there, exhausted. "Get up,"Jessica said.Crescent simply rolled over and buried her  face in the pillow. "I'm hungry,"Jessica grumbled. Crescent looked up,"You just ate."

"Your point? Get up."

"I don't want to."

"I don't care."

"You should."

"Aguamentia"

Crescent felt the cold water come gushing down on her head and fall down her sweater. She sat up, glaring at Jessica who was smiling as she walked towards the bathroom. Crescent didn't have much of a choice but to follow her. She got up and was halfway to the bathroom when she realised she was a witch.

"Bloody hell," she said, stopping. She waved her wand and did the hot- air charm and was soon completely dry. But seeing as she had to change into her school robes for dinner, she made her way into the bathroom where. The stalls were mostly empty. One belonging to Jessica and the other unknown. She stepped into the bathroom and quickly changed into her uniform.

Jessica came out just as Crescent was pulling her hair back into a ponytail. She smirked at her through the mirror. "I see you're dry,"She noted. She stood besides her and began to do her hair into a neater ponytail.

The two of them made their way back to their dorm and then headed down in to the common room with Miles. The Great Hall was decorated with pumpkins and smelled heavenly of spices and pastries.

They took a seat at the Ravenclaw table which was full and turned her attention to the staff table. Dumble spoke a few words and wished them a happy Halloween before allowing them to dig in.

Crescent although she had stuffed her face when she was in the three broomsticks had managed to make her way through two plates of food and a plate of dessert.

She got up to leave and made her way with the other students back to their respective houses. The loud chatter filled the corridors however as they walked on and she saw a crowd gathered around something the chatter became distant."What's going on?"Miles asked. She shrugged and moved forward, pushing her way to the front, Jessica and Miles following.

She made her way to the front and stopped. Mrs Norris was hanging by the torch, limp. There was a pile of water or blood at her feet and she stepped back. There was a message on the wall:THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED.ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE.

She turned to face Jessica, a horrified expression on her face. "Enemies of the heir beware! You'll be next, mudbloods!" a voice shouted through the quiet. Crescent didn't recognise it.

A few moments later Filch came hobling towards them, attracted by the shout,"What's going on here? What's going on?" he asked. He had not noticed his cat but as he drew forward he noticed her hanging and fell back, clutching his face in horror.

"My cat!My cat! What's happened to Mrs Norris?! he shrieked. "He looked around wildy and spotted Harry and began pointing at him, shouting wildy,"You! You! You've murdered my cat! You've killed her! I'll kill you! I'll-"

"Argus!"

Dumbledore had arrived. He strode to the front and detached mrs Norris."Come with me, Argus,"he said,"You too, Mr Potter, Mr weasley, Miss Granger. The rest of you off to bed, at once."

The crowd parted allowing Dumbledore to pass, with professor Lockhart trailing behind him as he offered up his office.

The murmurs returned as they walked back to their common rooms."That was eventful," Jessica said, as they go ready for bed. Crescent yawned as he sat down on her bed. "That surely was."

"I wonder who did it?"

Crescent shrugged,"I have no idea."
