A few weeks had passed since Andy's arrival and Jinxx was surprised to find himself alone in the tent. He allowed his mind to carefully search the area before getting up and going in the direction of Andy's thoughts.
Andy was sat on the cliffside, tracing a map in the sand. Jinxx had been creeping up in a way that nobody else would have been able to notice. Andy's instincts were not like anybody else's though and he tackled Jinxx to the ground, grinning like the madman he was.
"Hey Jinxxie, I thought I heard you sneaking up." He giggled. Jinxx was about to ask him what he was doing but Andy interrupted him by leaning in to a passionate kiss. After about a ten minute make out session they were sat next to Andy s map.
"Is that a map of the FEAR institute." Jinxx asked, unable to scan Andy's barracaided mind for information.
"Yeah, it is." Andy replied clearly wanting to add something but not feeling able to.
"What's on your mind." Jinxx questioned him, confused by his sudden interest in the place he spent so long trying to forget.
"I don't want to have to explain this more than once...could you call the others over?"
"Of course I can Prophet boy." Jinxx said, sending them a mental message while begining to send a row of kisses down Andy's neck. Andy rolled them away from the meticulously drawn map, not wanting to have to redo it. They heard a snigger from behind them. Hastily untangling himself, Andy looked up to see Ashley in a heap of laughter on the floor.
"And they call me the playboy!" Ashley giggled as soon as he found himself able to breathe again.
"I swear Deviant, if you tell anyone I will fucking kill you." Andy threatened, nowhere near ready to tell anyone about his situation with Jinxx.
"Fine, fine," Ashley said, raising his hands in surrender, "you're secret is safe with me."
"Right,"Andy began once everyone was there, " I've drawn a map of the FEAR base. I want to try and help the people I left behind in there." His plan was met with shocked silence by even Jinxx but he didn't let that daunt him and continued, "Jake, you would be in charge of making sure that no-one died and getting the escapees to safety. Ashley, you would be in charge of trapping the guards in one room by setting fire to the area around it. CC, you would be in charge of making a way in by smashing through the gates and then you'd join Ashley in killing any of the remaining guards. Jinxx, I'd need you to distract Valerick Williams, The Heart of FEAR, for long enough to tire him out." They took it in for a few moments before CC realised something,
"Hey, pal, what are you gonna be doing? It seems like you're missing out on all the fun!"
"I'm going to be killing Valerick. He can only be killed in a certain way. He needs to be stabbed with a staff of his own making by someone who has seen his true form. I'm the only one who's been through that, it was by far the worst punishment that was placed upon me. We could use reinforcements and I know that many of the people here have a bone to pick with FEAR, not to mention a huge armoury of stolen weapons. I'm not going to force anyone to do this, but I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I broke my final promise to my friends." Andy finished and bit nervously on his lip ring, fully prepared for rejection.
"I'm in!" CC yelled.
"Same here!" Jake agreed.
"I'm backing you honey!" Ashley cheered. They all turned to look at Jinxx, the only one of them who hadn't yet agreed to the plan.
"What? Was there really any doubt?" He asked softly and raising his eyebrows, before blushing as Andy kissed him in happiness.
A week had passed since then and everything was ready, weapons, rations, soldiers, you name it. Andy was back on the cliffside he spent so much time on. He knew that he couldn't defeat The Heart, he would merely be a distraction until everyone was broken out. The way his plan worked, he'd be lucky if he came back to camp with all his limbs still attached. His smile lifted when he remembered that Jinxx was waiting for him. It would be their last night together, possibly forever.
Twilight the next day arrived and The Legion of The Black as Andy called it, in memory of Eve, was being lead by Andy towards the FEAR institution. They didn't wait for sentries to arrive, CC simply ran at the wall, smashing a hole large enough for three people. Everything else was going as planned, until Andy saw a black plume shoot into the sky. He rain towards it, knowing that one of the fallen angels was in danger. He shoved past any guards and ran into a scene out his nightmares. Jinxx was skewered with a spear, his shoulder stuck into a post. Valerick smirked when he saw Andy's expression of horror.
"Ah, Andrew. How nice of you to join us again" he said, emphasising the name and giving the spear in Jinxx's shoulder a painful tap.
"Shall we take this elsewhere?" It was more of a statement than a question so Andy nodded, sending a pair of black plumes up before being transported to a snowy forest. It was ironic really, he'd always wanted to see one but now was the one time he didn't. Andy stood his ground as a bullet skimmed past his arm.
He could only hope that today was his lucky day.
