Andy deeply regretted regaining consciousness, all that met him was pain. He didn't know if he could or even wanted to get up. The only reason he bothered to try and escape was to keep the secrets of everyone's powers, he didn't care about self preservation by this point. The manacles were somehow still attached and felt unbelievably heavy. Eventually, Andy decided to try and find some shelter, Jinxx deserved a better goodbye. He crawled, dragging the weights behind him painfully until he heard a scream of terror.
He was filled with a strength he didn't know he had and ran towards it. When he arrived, he saw a young boy backed into a stone wall and a guard about to plunge a spear into him. Andy ran in front of the swinging weapon, shielding the child. He then sent the guard flying into a boulder with a burst of energy before ripping the tape off of his mouth. Susie was crouched in a ball, covering her eyes.
"Who are you?" He asked the shocked child.
"S-susie. Are you okay?" She replied, her innocence shown by the heavy concern and tremble in her voice.
"I'm...I'm fine. What are you doing out here Susie?"
"I was going to fetch water because we had run out and The Deviant - "
"He's alive?! Who else?!" Andy asked, glad that at least one of them survived.
"All of the fallen angels...except The Prophet..." Her face fell, as though it was a sadness that had rippled through to even the people he had never known.
"Not yet," Andy grinned and wiped some of the blood off his face, " I'm not dead yet."
Susie's face lit up abd she began to drag Andy in the direction of the cave she called home.
"Come on! The Mystic hasn't even looked at anyone since you left, he needs you as much as you need him!" She squeaked.
Andy felt a little colour move to his cheeks before breaking into a run and pulling the girl up onto his shoulders. Andy managed a couple of miles before stumbling forwards into the cracked soil.
"Looks like...this is as far as...I go..." He panted, shifting Susie off of him, "Go back to your home, tell Jinxx I'm fine, okay?"
"But what about you?! Will you be okay?!" She asked, tears forming in her eyes.
"Don't worry. I've survived worse than this." Andy replied truthfully.
Susie seemed satisfied and with one final backwards glance ran towards the mountain. Andy watched her go before beginning to do do the same but on his hands and knees.
After a very short time he was imagining the best ways to kill CC for creating such an effective blizzard. For every three metres he went up he was pushed back two into a pile of snow. He could still see the running blob that he knew to be Susie and groaned in realisation of the journey to come. The spear was getting in his way but he knew that pulling it out would only make him die faster. Andy had achieved what he assumed to be an eighth of the journey when he was met by a barrage of hailstones the size of stones.
"I swear, I will fucking end you CC..." Andy muttered under his breath.
"Oh shit! Sorry about that dude!" CC called down from above, almost causing Andy to stumble back in shock to his death.
"I'll make it a bit warmer for ya!"
Andy's eyes widened with fear and he attempted to warn CC but couldn't raise his voice enough to be heard. He heard a rumble and braced himself for impact.
"CC! YOU MORON!" He heard a muffled voice yell from above before the sound of someone being shoved off a cliff and onto the snow above him.
"You're yelling?!" Another voice called out before meeting the same fate.
"OF COURSE I'M YELLING! CC JUST COVERED MY BOYFRIEND WITH A FUCKING AVALANCHE!"
"Wait...what?!" Another voice asked before a familiar thud.
Andy decided that he was thoroughly done with that shit and used his failing energy to explode the snow around him and catapult Ashley, CC and Jake into the air. Jinxx jumped down and was about to hug Andy when he said,
"Nope. No touching. Nothing that has any chance of pain. Nope."
"Fine, you seriously owe me though for leaving." Jinxx retorted.
"Try starvation and torture." Andy replied, faking horror.
"What? My poor Prophet boy." Jinxx murmured, taking Andy into his arms and deeply regretting it when he heard the his of pain, the crack of bones and felt the oozing blood. He hastily lowered him down and propped him up against a pile of snow.
The others had managed to return by this point and were keeping a distance. Jake eventually went towards Andy before taking one look at him and going,
"Fuck, I don't think I can do this."
"Then just stop me from dying in the next few minutes. Please." Andy replied, his voice not gaining the same strength it had when talking to Jinxx.
"I'll try..." Jake mumbled before surrounding Andy in a brown aura. When it cleared, Andy looked no better or worse.
"Did I do anything?" Jake asked dejectedly.
"Yep. I'm pretty sure that my broken ribs are merely snapped and not puncturing my vital organs. I'd say it was a great improvement personally." Andy grinned and got up to walk, almost managing to hide how winces. He took Jinxx's support with absolute gratitude.
"Hey, Prophet. I know that carrying people is your thing but how the hell did you carry Susie that far?!" Ashley asked, folding his arms in the expectation of teleportation being used.
"No idea whatsoever, I didn't teleport if that's what you mean. Frankly, I couldn't teleport if I wanted to. I'm kinda out of juice." Andy replied, steadying himself on Jinxx.
"So you didn't fly or anything?" CC asked, his excitable nature getting the better of him. Andy's head lowered and Jinxx glared at CC.
"Andy, what happened..." He whispered softly. Andy painfully removed his jacket to reveal the deep parallel gashes beneath.
"Some fucked up shit."
