3rd pov

Every night, when the skies were clear, Clover Quill would climb up to the top of the hill and stare up at the stars.

It gave her some sense of comfort. Whenever the day was tough on her, going out and looking to the sky calmed her down.

Sometimes Clover would fall asleep on top of the hill. Some of the village people would find her and take her back to her bed.

Seeing the stars has helped Clover through living more years away from her family, away from her real father.

But being away has helped her become more independent. Still, she is just a child. She still needs guidance, she needs a guardian. Living in Romania and Wakanda has given her that.

(2018)Clover's pov

I was with Zola again today, learning some history stuff with other kids my age but one of the guards spoke to her and now I guess class ended early.

The guard said that I needed to be escorted somewhere for something. So Zola sent all the other kids back home.

Zola and the guard were walking fast down the hallway and I was walking behind them.

"What's happening?" I ask.

Zola turns her head around to look at me, "There is an incoming battle."

"Are you guys taking me somewhere safe or can I be a part of it?"

Before I get an answer the guard pushes the doors open and we all enter the room. I look around to see more guards, Okoye, King T'Challa, and Bucky.

The first thing I notice is that Bucky has a new arm.

Bucky takes one look at me and then starts shaking his head.

"Hell no. She can't be a part of this. She's still way too young."

"You say I'm way too young for everything." I whine.

King T'Challa stands in front of Bucky, "Sgt. Barnes, you have only seen the beginning of Clover's training, she has improved a lot in the last year and a half. She can be very helpful in the incoming battle."

"She's just a kid." Bucky whispers.

T'Challa also whispers but I guess they keep forgetting I can still hear them clearly, "I understand. But based on Captain Rogers description, we will need all the help we can get. I assure you, your umntwana(child) will be safe out there."

Bucky hesitates before he nods, agreeing with T'Challa. He then walks over to me and kneels down. He places his hands on both of my upper arms.

"You stay by me the whole time, got it? I know you've been in bad situations like these before but that doesn't mean the chance of getting hurt goes away."

I nod, "I know."

"My king, Captain Rogers has arrived." I hear a guard announce.

"Zola, take Clover to Shuri to get her gear ready."

Zola steps towards me, holding her hand out. I grab onto it and she leads me down more hallways to Shuri's lab.

I can see on the table my knife and a new jacket. When I dragged it off the table I saw it was a red jacket, almost just like the one my dad had.
