Reason of why Junhoe's only showing up on every April.
"Until I found this dog, he became my only friend but when my father discovered about him.. he killed him."
Junhoe paused and took a deep breath before continuing.
"Every April, my father is leaving out of town. I don't know where he is going but April's kind of my freedom month. When he killed my dog, I left far away from our home and go here in this town to bury him because this is the safest place for him and for me where no one could hurt him so he can rest in peace."
"Is that the reason why you only show up here on every April and why you always buy baby's breath flowers? To.. visit your dog?" Rosé finally asked which Junhoe answered with a nod.
"I treated him as my only family. He's the only one who never hurt me. I decided to buy an apartment around here using the money I stole from my father so that I can visit my dog here and to also have my freedom on every April because that place is really suffocating."
"Then what happens after April?"
"I go back to my hometown."
Rosé felt so many things after hearing his story. She felt bad and sad for Junhoe and his dog. She feels mad to his parents but she's not in the right place to judge anyone, she's also confused. It's like a hundred of bombs dropping one by one at the same time and she's trying to absorb and understand everything.
"Why do you have to go back there if he's hurting you? Did you ever reached out for help?" Rosé trying her best not to sound annoyed, not at Junhoe but to his situation.
"I did. But no one's really willing." He shortly answered which made her heart hurt even more.
Silence.
"Is that why you thought that the stars never twinkle for you?" Rosé suddenly asked, she's looking down on her shoes. Junhoe take a glance at her and then he shifted his gaze to the view.
"Because you prayed to have atleast someone to be there for you but no one's really coming?" She added.
Junhoe smiled. "Hmm." He said as a yes to her question.
Rosé took a deep breath before looking up again. Her eyes are moistened by the tears she's holding back.
"I guess the stars never really meant to shine for you, the moon does. It seems like he already heard your prayer." She said.
Junhoe looked up at the moon that is beaming in the middle of the dark sky.
At that moment, Junhoe thought that she might be right.
