Brendan left his mansion early in the morning and began walking to the train station. As he waited on the platform for the train to arrive, he was tackled from behind. He turned and saw that it had been Kirishima. Brendan sighed, "Good morning Kirishima." Kirishima smiled, "Morning Chaldea." The two of them waited side by side for the train. Kirishima started talking to Brendan about the people he met yesterday and how fun it was to be at UA and how their teacher had threatened to expel the student that ended in last place, but it ended up being a lie and how hard the quirk test shad been. Brendan mostly tuned him out, but paid a bit of attention to be considerate. After a small pause, Kirishima asked, "Hey, Chaldea. What do you know about Midoriya?" Brendan heard that and turned to Kirishima, "Why are you so curious about Midoriya all of a sudden?" Kirishima blushed madly and looked away, "No real reason. I was just curious about him. I mean, he had a really powerful quirk, but he didn't really use it until Mr. Aizawa threatened him. It was a bit surprising. I was just curious about him." Brendan looked at him, "I see. Sorry, I only knew him for that one year in middle school. And back then, we never spoke. I kept to myself. In other words, I have no information in regards to Midoriya." Kirishima sighed, "Oh, okay. Thanks for telling me anyway." The two went into a comfortable silence as the train arrived. Though they sat next to each other, they didn't speak to each other on the whole train ride over.
After all the classes ended, the hero training class began. All Might entered the room in a bizarre fashion. As several students were awestruck by the pro hero, he explained that they would be having battle training today and told everyone to get wear their costumes that they requested before the school year began. The students quickly went to grab their cases and went to change in the locker rooms. Brendan decided to wait for the others to leave before grabbing his own case with his costume and changed in the bathroom, since he want to avoid being with any of the other students. Once he managed to finish changing, he went to the training grounds to meet the other students. He saw that the students were complimenting each other on their costumes. Kirishima saw him and gasped, "Holy crap, Chaldea!!" The other students turned to see Brendan's hero costume.

Kirishima and Midoriya ran straight up to him and they both said at the same time, "That costume is awesome, Chaldea!" Once they noticed that they said it at the same time, they looked at each other and blushed madly before looking away. Brendan sighed and walked to the front of the class and listened as All Might explained the scenario that they would be having for the lesson today. They were told to draw lots to decide which students would be working with whom for the scenario. The students drew the lots. Since there was an odd number of students, Brendan was left without a partner. All Might asked, "All right. Is there anyone who is willing to be partnered up with young Chaldea?" Kirishima raised his hand, "Hey, I'll do it. Me! Me!" All Might laughed, "Very well. Kirishima and Chaldea will be the extra team and they will face another team at random after all the other fights are done. Now, let's start!!!"
The other matches had just finished and it was time for the final fight. Kirishima and Brendan were going against Jiro and Kaminari. Kirishima and Brendan went to the site of the bomb to prepare for the fight. Kirishima chuckled, "Man, this is going to be exciting. Kaminari and Jiro look really cool." Brendan said, "Just wait here. I'll finish this quickly." Kirishima turned to see Brendan leave the room. On the first floor, Jiro and Kaminari were preparing to go after the villains. Kaminari asked, "Hear anything?" Jiro nodded, "I can hear one set of footsteps three floors above us, but only one. What happened to that other guy?" Suddenly, Chaldea said, "I win." Jiro and Kaminari quickly turn around to see him standing behind them. That was when they realized that they were already captured in the capture tape. In the monitoring room, several students were surprised to see him win so easily, "How did he do that?" "Was it his quirk?" "I don't know." "How did we not see anything?" All Might cleared his throat, "Well, the villain team wins." With that, the two teams joined the rest of the students. Once All Might told them that they did great, the class was dismissed and they were sent back to their homeroom class. Once there, Kirishima said to Brendan, "Chaldea, how did you win so easily? It was unreal." Brendan simply stayed silent as he looked out a window and saw Midoriya, Bakugo and All Might standing outside.
