After two days pass, the school starts back up and the students return. Brendan arrived early in order to avoid the attention that he received the day before. Many people asked if he was from UA. It seemed that more and more people were paying attention to him after the attack of the League of Villains. As he entered the classroom, he wondered what would happen that day. As the other students entered the classroom, they began talking about how they were noticed by a lot of people on the way over. Jiro told them that is was only because they were the class that survived an attack by villains. Kirishima walked up to Brendan, "Hey dude. What did you do with your free day?" Brendan said, "I just went to the market to purchase more sustenance to consume." Kirishima smiled awkwardly, "Oh. That's... nice. Gotta get that sustenance." Soon enough, the students began to quiet down and sat in their seats as class began. Aizawa entered the classroom, covered in bandages. Some students asked him if he was okay. Aizawa replied, "My state is not important right now. You're greatest test is yet to come." The students got curious about what their teacher was referring to. Mineta asked, fearfully, "More villains?" Aizawa said, "The UA Sports Festival is right around the corner." The students began to cheer, though Mineta was a little worried, "Should we really be having that right after we've been attacked by villains?" Aizawa said, "The Sports Festival isn't something that we can just put on hold. By holding the festival, it'll show that UA isn't afraid of the villains and that we are secure. Though there'll be three times the security this year." Brendan asked, "Excuse me? What is the Sports Festival?" The students and Aizawa turned to him. Izuku was surprised, "You don't know about the UA Sports Festival, Chaldea?" Bakugo yelled, "It's the biggest sports event in all of Japan, you idiot!!" Brendan said, "I've been around the world and have been traveling for years. If it's something that's famous mainly in Japan, then it's no surprise that I haven't heard of it. And, since its a televised sports event, that makes sense that I would never have heard of it. I don't watch much television to begin with and I dislike watching sports the most." The class went silent as they began to process what Brendan said. Izuku was the first to snap out of it, "Oh, I see. Um, well, basically its a competition between the classes of each individual year, the hero course, support course, business course and general education. They all compete using their quirks in a series of challenges to get recognition from pro heroes that'll be watching the festival." Momo nodded, "Yes, they'll be there as scouts. Working to find people to take under their wing and help mold into proper heroes." Brendan nodded in understanding, "I see. So basically, it's just a practical resume." The class went silent. Even Aizawa was completely dumbstruck while replying, "Um...yeah. I guess you can describe it that way. Whatever floats your boat." Aizawa continued to explain the information regarding the Sports Festival.

After the classes ended, Brendan was called to the principal's office. Nezu was at the table making tea, "Ah, young Chaldea. Please sit. Have a cup of tea." Brendan did as he was told as the principal got onto his own chair. Nezu asked, "Now tell. You've heard about the Sports Festival, correct?" Brendan nodded as he took a sip of his tea. Nezu continued, "Good, that makes things easier. As you know, we've made great efforts to keep your quirk a secret from the rest of the world because of the potential dangers that it could impose on you." Brendan said, "I am aware." Nexu said, "So, I wanted to ask...do you wish to participate in the Sports Festival? Doing so would destroy all the work that we've done to keep your quirk a secret." Brendan said, "I understand that, but... the excitement all of the students are feeling towards the festival. It has made me quite interested to see what it is like." Nezu smiled at the boy, "You are interested? How wonderful. You have never shown any interest in anything before." Brendan said, :I suppose so." Nezu dismissed the boy and wished him good luck at the Sports Festival.
