Y/n POV

What is this place? I can't move my body and everything hurts. I open my eyes and everything is in black, grey, and white. I'm slowly falling in this fluid-like thing. Am I even breathing? Maybe I'm dead. Death doesn't seem as bad as I thought, this place seems better than getting sent to hell.

Last thing I remember was a surge of pain flowing through my body. I try to move my arm and it twitches. 'Progress' I thought to myself. I kept trying to move my arms, legs, head, and the rest of my body until I was finally able move my body into a standing-like position. 'Now where to go' I look up the see a bright light. 'I guess there'. I swim up to the light and then I find myself inside a room.

Everything thing still has a gray-scale color to it and there are no walls or windows to it; it's just a room. I walk around feeling against the walls and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I then lean my ear against one wall.

"Come on Kusuo let's go to the park!"  I push myself away from the wall 'Woah it's like my memories on the other side. I can't see them, but I can hear them.' I walk over to the next wall.

"Good grief, Y/n you're going to get a stomach ache if you keep eating all those sweets."

"Silence mortal, thou shalt not judge upon another's decision." 'I remember that, it wasn't really worth the stomach ache but the sweets we're really good.' I walk up to the next wall.

"Hey dad are we almost there yet?"

"Not yet kiddo. Can you wait another 10 minutes for me please."

"Daddy that car is running a red light!"

"Y/n cover your head right now!"   'Yikes I remember that day all to clearly. I miss you dad.' I shuffle over to the last wall.

"We managed to save her right before her body was going to shut down from the electricity. She's in a comatose state and there's no telling whether she'll wake up yet. Her brain activity seems low. I hate to say this, but she could continue to be like this for days, months, or even years. I wouldn't have my hopes up."

"I refuse to give up on her. Now please just keep her alive that is your job after all."

'What? This doesn't seem like a memory. Is this what's happening right now?'

"Come on Y/n please wake up. Everyone's waiting for you to wake up Teruhashi, Hairo, Nendou, my mom, my dad, heck even Kusuke stopped by! I don't know if I can keep going on without you. You mean a lot to me and I can't imagine life without you. I'm lost without you."

'Was that Kusuo? Am I causing everybody to worry over me? They shouldn't this was my decision. I hurt him and the others.' I try to scream, but when my mouth opened what came out was silence. I couldn't scream, ask for help, all I had were my thoughts.

With tears flowing down my eyes I start punching the wall. Over and over and over again. 'I refuse to be trapped in here any longer!' I probably look like crazy punching this wall but I don't care. The wall slightly cracks and here's a bright light behind it.

'I will prevail! No matter the cost!' Punch after punch my hand gets more bruised and scratched. With one last punch the wall broke and I was engulfed in a bright light.

Kusuo's POV

I was just about ready to leave for the night. I take another long look at Y/n before sighing. I then notice her hand begin to twitch. 'What's going on?' I thought to myself.

Little by little her whole arm began to twitch and I notice that her hands became slightly bruised and scratched. I panicked and asked a nurse to get a doctor since I didn't know what to do. I looked back at her and she opened her eyes.

It felt like a weight had been lifted off my chest and all my worries have been washed away. I avoided hugging her immediately since she might be in a state of shock. She looked around and then we made eye contact.

I gently grabbed her hand and I held back tears. "Y/n you're finally awake. Thank god. You've been asleep for 2 weeks. Everybody is worried! I'm worried!"

What scared me is that she shakily and slowly took her hand away from mine.

"I'm sorry but who are you?"

And with that my heart sank and my whole world fell.
