Kusuo's POV

I've had enough of Y/n evading my questions, from what I can gather she's sick and doesn't want me to worry over her. She keeps forcing herself to go out or to hanging out with me and making her condition worse. I look over to the clock and it's 9:30 p.m.' I should head over right now and ask her for the millionth time.' I thought to myself.

I teleported into her living room and I walked over to the front and put my shoes there. I then marched back to her living room and sat down patiently waiting for her to walk in. I heard footsteps and I tense up trying to rehearse my lines.

'I've been expecting you. No too cliche. I've been waiting for you. Not quite right. Finally, you have arrived. That's not right either.'

I was about to talk until I heard her shout "Shit!" Loud and heavy footsteps were making their way towards the bathroom. I then heard the ungodly sounds of someone throwing up and the toilet flushing. I decide to head right to her. I walk towards the bathroom and knocked on the wall.

"Surprised to see me?" I didn't notice, but it began to rain down hard outside.

"Um K-kusuo i-it's not what you think." At first I didn't understand what she meant, but I peeked more into the bathroom and there were tons of pink petals on the floor cover in blood. I turned to her looked at her with a shocked face and she had some blood on the corner of her lips too.

'What is this? Why is there blood on her face? Are those flower petals? W-wait this is hanahaki?' A lot of thoughts were racing through my mind, but I managed to snap myself out of my trance.

"Y/n why didn't you tell me that this was happening to you. I-I could've helped out."

"I-I didn't want to say anything because my situation couldn't be helped either way a-and I wanted to spend the rest of my time with you." she said shakily while crying.

"What do mean it can't be helped? Can't I do something?! Who did this to you? I shall teach them a lesson. Who wouldn't love you?" As soon as I said that she violently got up and shouted, "Hypocrite!" I then felt a slap across my face, then she ran passed me and grabbed her coat. I held my cheek in shock and ran to follow her. When she was at the doorway I grabbed her arm.

"Y/n please stop! Wait!"

She flinched her arm and made me let go.
"Kusuo the person I liked was you, but I knew you didn't want a relationship! I knew you didn't see me than anything other than a friend! It hurt, but I respected your decision because it is your life. Who am I to try and press my feeling onto you when you don't even want them! I sit here everyday watching you, admiring you, thinking about you! You know what I-I I just can't even right now." Y/n then ran out of the house and slammed the door.

'W-wait she liked me? Shit I made a mistake, I got to go a find her.' With that I kicked down the door and ran outside. I'm running on pure adrenaline right now, my thoughts were all over the place, my emotions were unstable, and I could hardly see with all this rain pouring down and clouding my glasses.

Y/n POV

"You know what I-I I just can't even right now." I ran outside and my hair and coat was drenched with the rain. I ran as fast as my legs could take me. I don't even know where I'm going and it's hard to see with the tears in my eyes and the rain in my face. I saw a bright light and I heard a car horn and then I froze like a dear in head lights. I closed my eyes waiting for the worst, but then it never came. I open my eyes and I saw Kusuo and it looked like he swerved the car away from me.

"Y/n please let me talk to you!" My mind told me to stay and listen, but my body turned around and kept running. More tears flood down my face as I shout, "Just leave me alone!"

"Hey what are you doing to that girl can't you see she doesn't want to talk to you." I turn around and I saw an old man holding onto Kusuo's shoulders stopping him and in his other hand is an umbrella. I kept running forward and then all of a sudden I saw a flash of light and pain. I scream out in pain, my body goes limp, and black engulfs my vision.

Kusuo POV

"Hey what are you doing to that girl can't you see she doesn't want to talk to you."

I felt someone grab my shoulders and stop me. "Hey man she's my best friend and I'm trying to help her now can you please let me go."

"Oops sorry my mistake it looked as if you were going to hurt her. Heh teenagers." He then let me go and as I was closing in on her I saw a lightning bolt go straight down right to where Y/n is. I heard a scream and my heart stopped.

"Y/n!!" I shouted and ran to her. She was lying on the ground and some of her veins regain turning red enough to be see on her skin. I went to pick her up, but I got shocked. 'Shit shit shit she needs the hospital.' I thought to myself. I started booking it to the hospital as fast as my legs take me and I got there in about 30 seconds. I kicked down the door.

"Somebody please help my friend got struck by lightning!" The doctors and nurses started scrambling around shouting medical procedures and words I didn't know. They took her from my arms and I watched as they placed her onto a stretcher and rushed her beyond the double doors.

I sat down on the couch in the waiting room and I broke down in tears.

"Y/n please be okay."
