Today Y/n and I are just hanging at a waterfall that pours into a lake that we found in the middle of the woods. I've been noticing that her skin has a more pale tone to it and her mood shifts around more than normal. I tried asking her, but she only says it's a small headache, put on the wrong foundation, or she just plainly didn't notice.

"You ready Kusuo?" She asked. I looked at her and I immediately turned away. She was wearing a turquoise bikini, a white see-through cover up, and a sun hat. I responded with a simple yes and put my hand over my face to hide the slight pink making its way onto my cheeks. It's probably since it's really hot today I didn't use my powers to keep me cool and it must've been pure coincidence that my cheeks flared from the heat and Y/n just happened to be there at the same time.

Y/n then ran and jumped into the water. "You forgot to take off your hat and I thought we were going to jump in together."

"Well you were in your little mindscape and I decided just to go in myself."

"1, 2, 3"

"Wait I had my hat on still! No, that was my favorite now I gotta swim for it." She whined. I chuckled a bit watching her swim around looking for it. I had it behind my back and I could've just gave it to her, but this is punishment for jumping in without me.

After about 10 minutes of swimming around looking for her hat, she finally gave up and swam back to shore. "Here you go." I said handing her the hat.

"You had it the whole time! I should've known and wipe that smirk off your face!" She lightly hit my chest a bit.

"Now are you going to stand here and abuse me or are we going to swim?"

"Swim of course!"

~ After about 1 hour of swimming and splashing water ~

Y/n and I are now just lying down on the blanket we brought. I was about to talk to her, but then she fell asleep. 'Good grief she fell asleep after lying here for like 5 minutes, guess I'll go to the bottom of the lake to plan out how to avoid people tomorrow.' I thought to myself. I then proceed to swim to the bottom of the lake and lay there. It's calm and cool down here and I like to look at the fish swimming around me. 

My mind started to go blank, but before I knew it my mind went straight to Y/n. The way she walks to the way she talks (Rhymes?). The way she laughs at my jokes and how she is the only human I can actually stand. She doesn't judge me or try to worship me because of my powers. She respects my decisions and the reasons why I don't like human interaction, plus she's my childhood friend so we've known each other for a long time. I found my face turning red and I realize that I'm getting flustered thinking about her.

'What is this feeling? It's like my stomach it churning all over and my face is getting hot.' Right now I'm having a fight with myself and I'm second guessing everything I say.

'Do I like Y/n?'

'Nope nope nope I'm probably feeling sick that's all.' 

'But I don't get sick and I'm not on a boat.'

'It's the heat I bet it's the heat.'

'When you're on the bottom of the lake where it's cool.'

'Maybe my antenna is loose and my pyrokinesis is getting out of control.'

'No I made sure of that this morning.'

I sigh in defeat I don't know what to think or feel. Besides even if I did like her I doubt she would like someone like me romantically. Snapped out of my thoughts I hear Y/n above calling out for me and I swam back up.

"There you are I woke up and you were gone! Anyways I got to head back home, I'll see you next week, bye Kusuo!" She hugged me and I was freaking out so bad (Gif at the top), but I didn't show it. Once she was out of sight I teleported back home into the kitchen.

"Oh Ku you're back already from your little date with Y/n" Mom giggled.

"It wasn't a date, but I do have a question."

"What is it dear?"

"When I'm around Y/n it's weird my face gets red, but I'm not using pyrokinesis and I don't get sick. I get flustered and my stomach churns and it feels weird here." I said pointing towards my heart. Mom grabs my hands and speaks very softly.

"Sweetie it's called love and not all of us get a chance to find and keep it. So I suggest you tell her how you feel before someone else snatches her." Then she got dark and I felt a chill go down my spine, "You better do it soon Kusuo because she's a beautiful young lady and I refuse to have you jeopardize my chance at getting grandchildren and a daughter-in law."

"R-right, well I'm going to go to sleep goodnight."

"Goodnight Ku."

I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling. 'I think I'll wait a bit before I say anything and mom practically just threatened me to marry her.' I closed my eyes and let sleep take over me.
