This is a just a language
That we use to communicate
And everything you've ever said or heard
Is just a different combination
Of these 26 letters
We know thatIf all this is
Is conveying different messages and meanings
In so many different ways
Then how can one word
Hurt me, so muchHow can, one short, simple arrangement
Of only a few letters
Be able to
Heal me
Hurt me
Punish me
Kill me
Drag me
Shoot me
Resurrect me
Inspire me
Encourage me
Support me
Beat me
Bruise me
Rip me
Tear me
Crush me
Shatter me...
Be careful
Don't throw words around
Don't juggle them, in and out of your mouth
You're juggling knives
Sharper than any ones you knowWhy not play darts with them
With me as the target
Needless to say,
You have a perfect aimThrow knives at everyone you meet
Without saying a word
I can guaranteeYou'll do less damage
Than you are know
With your seeds of vocabulary
That grow and rip out our skull
Bursting our muscles
Popping our veins like bubble wrapOne word means so much
Don't you ever
Toss them around so freely
And carelessly
