"So here's a story from A - Z,
You wanna get with me,
You gotta listen carefully-""Kharma you've been singing for three hours straight, for the love of God shut up!" Mom yelled from downstairs.
I paused the song and stuck my head out the door, "It's not even that loud!"
She didn't respond afterwards so I shut my door closed and lowered the volume on from my speakers and unpaused the music.
All of a sudden, my door was being knocked. I rolled my eyes assuming it was because my music.
"I lowered the volume what now!"
"Can I come in?" Jake asked.
My mouth formed an 'o' shape and nodded but stopped knowing that he couldn't see me.
"Uh yeah."
He opened the door and wslked a few steps in. "There's someone at the door for you, but just a warning, try not to lash out young lady." And with that he walked off.
I shrugged and put my hair in a messy bun and slid my slides on. Before heading for the stairs, I grabbed my phone and ran down the steps.
I approached the front door and opened it, my eyes immediately landing on the blue-eyed boy in front of me.
"What?"
"I expected a hello but that's fine too-"
"Hello! Now what?" I emphasized as I squinted my eyes at Christian.
He scratched the back of his neck before saying, "I know last night wasn't great, but I wanted to make up for that and ask if you wanted to go out somewhere."
"You're right, last night was a mess and you're one of last people I would want to spend the day out with. But might as well. Wait here." I said as I shut the door in his face.
I ran upstairs to get changed. All I need him to tell me is why didn't he at least try to back me up when Patty was being a bitch? Pretty sure he wanted to be my friend earlier on so act like it, right?
I tried to quickly fix up my hair and do some makeup, nothing too extra.
After I was done, I took my phone and my air pods that were in their case, placing them in my pocket, then ran downstairs.
"Where are you going?" Mom asked, I turned around to face her, "I don't know really, but Christian is taking me out somewhere." I replied and continued to make my way towards the door.
"Hm. Just make sure you're hanging around the right crowd Kharma and don't be out for too long." She said which stopped me in my tracks.
"Don't shoot at Christian Mom. I may have only known him for a day but he's chill. I mean he came to apologize for yesterday." I said. Mom just nodded her head and gave me a smile letting me know that it was the end of our conversation. I waved her goodbye and opened the front door seeing Christian tapping his hands on his thighs as he sat down on the front porche.
"Ready to go babe?" He asked with a smirk. I turned to him with a snarky look, "I already told you to not call me that, and especially with what happened last night you definitely lost that opportunity," and with that he nodded. We walked down the street in silene for a little bit. It wasn't awkward, I kind of enjoyed the silence. Christian and I stopped at a nearby park, we decided to sit on the swings as there was no kids since the weather was cold as ever, and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to be in a park near the end of December.
