A black modern looking car pulled up and out of it came my Mom.
It was actually her.

"Oh my... My little girl! Come here!" She said with wide arms.

I didn't know how to react. There she was in real life. After years of not seeing her. Here she was.

I found my legs dragging me to her with a certain quickness.

"Hi." I whispered, "This is unreal." I said.

She nodded and pulled me into a hug.

"You've grown so much I can't believe it. C'mon let's get you home, you must be exhausted." She said and pulled away.

She gave me a smile and helped me put my luggage in the car.

I walked around the car to the passsenger seat door and got in making myself comfortable.

Seconds after, my Mom came into the car and started it up.
"Its a really nice car Mom, when did you get it?" I asked as we began to leave the airport.

"About three months ago. Your stepdad actually got it for me." She said.

"My stepdad? Who?"

"Jake. I haven't told you about him. I wanted you to see him in person first. He's such a sweet man, wouldn't hurt a single fly. He'll be a supportive father and will always be there to help you."

I stayed quiet not knowing how to respond about Jake.

"Mom? How long did you know about me having to move here?" I asked out of the blue.

She stayed silent for a moment then sighed. "For a while now."

"How long of a while?"

"Since the start of September." She mumbled.

... what?

"Wait-- so basically three months! Are you serious? You and Dad kept this for three months? Is there anything else I should know about?" I sort of yelled startling my Mum abit.

"No sweetheart. It's just we knew you wouldn't take it well if we told you much earlier and we--"

"Whatever I'm already here it's not like I can change anything now."

The rest of the car ride was silent.

We pulled up at a pretty two story house.

I gaped at it, "This is your house?"

"Well its our house. Do you like it?"

I nodded my head quickly.

"It's nice." I said and got out of the car once she parked it. I went to the trunk and took out my suitcases.

Mom helped me with one as I carried the other two.

She unlocked the front door with her keys and I followed her inside.

"Jay!" She called out. A man with blue eyes and a very light brownish colour hair came down the stairs and approached my Mom with a peck to her lips.

I crinkled my nose for a quick second.

"Is this her?" He asked looking at me.

Well nah!
