Seconds passed and we were on each other, throwing a series of kicks and punches. From a regular human, we would look like a blur of bodies, we moved ferociously. Though neither of us was out for blood we acted like animals. I threw a punch toward his torso which he parried and made an attempt to put me in a headlock, I slipped away from his grasp. As we moved I had managed to get ahold of his finger, I held tightly, in a single swift movement I pulled his arm behind him, I pulled hard but not hard enough to harm him. I held him there, we stood chest heaving covered in sweat. I had won, a sudden wave of triumph washed over me. He raised his free hand, submitting and admitting his defeat. I released and he turned and faced me, he smiled and exhaled as he bowed. I bowed back and winked at him.
"Any questions? Comments?" He said out loud turning to the group, he rested his hands upon his hips in an attempt to catch his breath. Hearing no a single voice I turned and faced the crowd, their faces stared at me in awe. My face flushed and I grabbed my jacket. Once Braxton realized what was going on he smiled and laughed quietly. "Dismissed, you have the rest of the day off. Stay out of trouble." He said and waved his hand, the group calmly walked away. Segregated into their own groups of friends. Braxton walked up to me and placed his large arms on my biceps, he rubbed my arms and gazed at me. I eyed him wearily, raising an eyebrow slightly. "What?" I said with a small smile as my arms snaked around his torso. "I totally thought I was going to win." He said with a laugh glancing around for a short moment before looking back into my eyes. I wanted him to claim me so badly, I wanted to be his. I wanted to be happy. I wanted him. "Oh yeah? Well little did you know, I practiced every day since I left." I bit my lip gently, my eyes shifting to examine his perfectly plump lips. Without saying another word he leaned down and kissed me, our lips collided, my eyes slowly closed and I leaned into him. His hands gripped my sides lifting me up into his arms. My arms made their way around his neck, resting on his shoulders, I wrapped my legs around his waist, he walked forward gently pressing my back against the trunk of a tree.
His tongue grazed my lips, asking permission to continue, I opened my mouth slightly wider and tangled my fingers into his hair. Was this really happening? No. It was too soon. He helped me with my heat but that was a different story. This was for real. I don't think I was ready. I allowed this long kiss to go on for a little while longer before I pulled away, gasping for breath. I looked at him and smiled lightly, which he returned. "I don't want to go too fast," I mumbled and pecked his lips once more before he set me down. Once my feet touched the forest floor I grabbed his hand. I knew we had to talk about what I had been planning, I had to tell him and somehow I had to force him to allow me to do this on my own. Much easier said than done.
There was no easy or gentle way I could've said this so I blurted it out, "Braxton I'm going to challenge Derek." When one wolf challenged another it was to the death, Braxton knew of this concept all too well. His eyes became wide and he pulled his hand away from mine. "Now why would you want to do something reckless like that?" He asked he was miserably trying to hold back his anger. But it leaked into his expression and voice when he spoke. "I will tell you, but you have to promise you will keep it between us. And you will let me take care of it, on my own. I will tell you everything Brax, you just have to promise." I said softly, my eyes frantically searched his for a hint of something else other than his anger. So far I had no luck. It seemed that heat was radiating off of his skin. After a moment of silence, I reached out once more and grabbed his hand, this time he didn't pull away. "Okay, Koda. I want to know everything." I smiled lightly and nodded, leaning down and leaving a gentle kiss on his hand. I began walking forward, pulling him along with me.
We spent hours walking through the forest, just the two of us. I told him everything, about Derek and his group, about my parents and what I had been doing for the past year while I was away. As time went on I could feel the connection between us mending and becoming stronger. By the time we had decided it was time to head back, the sun was setting. The sky was painted with a scheme of yellow, orange pink and red, it looked so unreal. I examined the sky up until the very last second of light, once the sun had set we made our way inside the house. I thought it was best to allow Brax to sleep on his own tonight, we both had to process a lot of material. I wasn't in any rush, we had the rest of our lives to sleep together. After saying our goodnights I disappeared into my bedroom, stripping down to my normal nightwear attire, my undergarments and an oversized shirt, which was always a shirt of Braxton's I rescued from the trash can. Ryker was nowhere in sight, I took no more mind to it, he was drenched with my scent, no harm would come to him. I readied myself for bed then climbed into the sheets minutes passed of me lying awake and thinking. Finally, I was tired enough, my eyelids closed and I rolled over, falling asleep instantly.
While I was sleeping my door cracked open, two figures entered my room. They moved to each side of my bed before I could sense that I was in any danger I was grabbed, gagged and tied. A cloth bag or something similar was placed over my head. Once I came to I thrashed and bit and clawed, but the ropes around my arms and legs were laced with wolfsbane. I fought my hardest to get away, to scream or make any noise I could. But I was helpless. In my struggle, I could sense two more beings helping the original two in getting me outside. I tried to recognize the sent of at least one of them but the wolfsbane was too strong. I strained my mind, calling out to Braxton, I wasn't sure if my efforts were going to do much more than screaming. I finally accepted that there was nothing I could do about my situation at the moment, I fell limp in the arms of my kidnappers and focused on my surroundings.
We were now outside, moving rather quickly. I could only hear many sets of footfalls, not one of them had spoken. They dared not reveal themselves. Suddenly I was dropped, I hit the ground hard and rolled over, something had happened. Someone was wining in the distance, I had to get out of these ropes. I bit at the rope tangled around my wrist until I came free, by that time the commotion had passed. Braxton ran and slid into the grass next to me, "Koda." He said frantically. I smiled and let out a soft sob. "Braxton." I said as he pulled the bag off of my head, seconds later the I was freed from the ropes, but not from the burns they left on my skin. I stood up and looked around. No one but Braxton and I remained. My skin began to boil, a harsh growl escaped my lips and my breath quickened. "Bastards!" I screamed. "Come back and fight me!" I yelled, but by now, they were long gone. I was going to hunt every single one of these bastards down. I swore I would, right then. This time they were not capturing me for torture, or to rape me. This time it was to kill me, to end my life.
