"The universe rotates on a five thousand year cycle, and once it's cycled all the worlds align." Erik Selvig picks up a shoe and holds it up, "Imagine...imagine that this is our world, and...and..." he grabs another shoe that one of the patients hands him, "Oh, thank you. And this is another world. Normally they're separate, but during the alignment, everything is connected. All Nine Realms, all Nine Realms are passing through each other and gravity, light, and even matter, is crunching from one world to the other."

He demonstrates with the shoes by smacking one on top of the other repeatedly, "But if this happens to us now, the result would be cataclysmic. " He emphasizes

Eric then puts the shoes down and picks up two pencils and holds them upright, "My gravimetric spikes can stabilize the focal point of the Convergence. "

He puts the pencil down and picks up the shoes again, "This time the alignment, and all the other worlds, would just pass up by." He leans on the table behind him and crosses his arm, "It's beautiful. It's simple. Any questions?"

Stan Lee interrupts saying, " Yeah. Can I have my shoe back?"

Jane runs her hand over her arm to look at the Aether flowing through her, her face painted with worry and grief.

She walks over to the balcony where suddenly everything goes red. Blood gushing red. Above her is the Asgardian palace in flames. The Bifrost has gone dark.

Jane's light brown eyes go pitch black.

Three guards enter and snap Jane out of her trance, "Jane Foster. You need to come with us."

In the throne room, Odin, Fandral, Volstagg, and other guards are gathered around a hologram of Asgard

"We are still unable to restore the palace shields. Our artillery cannot detect them, even Heimdall cannot see them." Fandral pauses before regretfully proclaiming, "My King, we are all but defenseless. "

Thor approaches Odin with a look of accusation

"She's your prisoner now?" He looks over to the others and bids the other to leave

They all start walking off, leaving Thor with Odin alone in the Throne room

Odin said walking down the stairs, "I do not wish to fight with you."

"Nor I with you, but I intend to pursue Malekith."

Odin walks passed Thor and reminds Thor of a certain fact, "We possess the Aether, Malekith will come to us."
