Chapter 7

1 month later ...

Nicki came home from work. She and drake didn't saw each other since the day nicki tried to kiss him. She got out of her car and made her way to her house. But then she saw some lights in her garden and someone was standing there. It couldn't be her mother because her mother is in work and she is way shorter than this person. She made her way to the garden and stopped when she saw who it was. Drake. He was standing there with a rose in his hands.

Drake: thought you would never come

Nicki just looked at him and he looked back at her. He saw the hurt in her beautiful hazel eyes. She was surprised and a little bit confused.

Nicki: why are you here ?

Drake: I wanted to talk with you

Nicki just looked at him and didn't say anything.

Drake: because you know the day we were in the park and you tried to kiss me? I would kiss you back but I couldn't. It's because of zoey. I think I have still feelings for her and I know that she cheated on me but its like she has my heart in her hands and play with it and do whatever she wants. I just can't stop thinking about her. And thats why I'm here.

He sighed and continued to talk about why he is here.

Drake: I want to move on, a new beginning, a new life. I want to let the past behind me and everything what  happened. And I want to start this new beginning with you, as friends. So are we friends ?

Nicki nodded. Drake smiled and hugged her. It was just the perfect moment for both of them. To be friends again and let the past behind them. Just friends and nothing more.

Drake: This is for you

He gave nicki the rose he brought with him.

Nicki: thank you.

She smiled and he smiled back.

The next day nicki woke up with a smile on her face. She was happy that she and drake were again friends. Nicki stood up and went into the shower.

As she came out from the shower she felt like dressing casual today. So she put on a red jeans with a white top and some accessories and a pair of white converse chucks. Her hair was in a high ponytail.

When she was done she made her way to work.

Nicki had only 20 minutes until her shift ends. She decided to look if everything is on his right place before she goes home. When she was done with checking she looked at the people and then she saw that Zoey was staring at her for a while. Nicki just ignored her and went in the other direction. But she saw that zoey was going after her.

Nicki: how can I help you zoey ?

Zoey: whats the deal between you and drake?

Nicki: what? We're just friends.

Zoey: oh sure.

Nicki: so you think I'm lying ?

Zoey: of course you are lying.

Nicki: I dont lie.

Zoey: So since you're not lying I will tell you something. Stay away from drake. Okay?

With that zoey went out of the shop.

Drake wanted to surprise nicki. Her shift would end in 20 minutes so he and she can go somewhere and do something together. He went out of his car and was surprised by who he saw. It was someone that looked really familiar. And then he relaised that it was zoey. Drake sighed. He wanted to move on and than he see zoey? Great he thought. He made his way to the shop were he found nicki.

Drake: hey

Nicki: hey what are you doing here

Drake: I wanted to surprise you

Nicki: aww thanks

Drake: So umm... why was zoey here?

Nicki: she told me that I should stay away from you.

Drake: the best is if you ignore her

Nicki: right. So I will get my things and then we can go.

He waited for her and then she came back with her things

Drake: ready to go?

Nicki: yes

They went into drakes car and made their way to the cinema.

Nicki: oh so we're going to the cinema ?

Drake: I heard a new movie is out and I wanted to watch it with you

Nicki: what if I don't like the movie?

Drake: Hmm

Nicki: joke. I love movies.
