Chapter 16

Nicki's phone began to ring and she got a new message from Sandi.

Hey my Sweetheart, hope you slept well. Would you like to come over for dinner today? I'm waiting. -Sandi

She knew Drake wasn't at home for like a week because he had some business in Toronto and it wouldn't be so bad to spend some time with his mother. She replied with a 'I would love to. I'm coming over at 7.' and put her phone down.

Her mother aksed her to clean the house since she wasn't always at home because of work. Nicki loved to help her mother. Carol was always there for Nicki, in bad and good times, and she tried her best to be there for her mother.

She went to the wadrobe and put on some black leggings and a long pink T-shirt. Her hair was in their usual curls and she made a bun and begun to clean up the house. First the kitchen, then the living and her room and then the bathroom.

She took a shower after finishing everything and when she came out it was already 4 p.m.

It wasn't like she didn't miss drake. She did. But they didn't really talk so much since what happened on the beach. Nicki put on some jeans and a shirt and decided to call Drake to see how he was doing. She phoned him and he took the call at the second ring.

"Hello?", asked Drake. You could cleary hear the excitement and sadness in his voice. "Drake? How are you?."

"I'm great thanks." Silent.

They didn't speak for a minute and nicki broke the silent. "Look, I'm sorry about that what happened on the beach last week.", she apologized. "Damn, it took you so long to apologize?" He laughed at her. "Wait! So you wasn't mad at me?"
"I could never be mad at my girlfriend." She sighed and smiled.
"I thought that you would never forgive me or something."

"Actually, I just wanted to see your reaction and how long it takesfor you to apologize" He laughed and loved to hear her voice again after such a long time.

"You idiot." nicki said angry at him for not telling her. "I love you too." he said in his deep voice.

They continued to talk for like one and a half hour and then nicki looked at the time. It was already 6 p.m.

"I have to go now" Nicki stood up and went downstairs. "Where do you go?" asked Drake. "Your mum called me over for dinner."

The last time Nicki was eating Sandi's dinner was about a month ago. She really loved it and even asked her how to make such a dinner like that, so she could impress Drake with her cooking skills.

"Okay then have fun and could you please look after her?"

"Sure, bye drake." "Bye, my love" he said again in his deep voice causing nicki to bluch like a lottle child and looking like a tomato.

When she was there, she got out of the car and made her way to the house. She rang the doorbell and Sandi opened it.

"Ah, Hello Nicki. Isn't it a little bit too early?" Sandi said hugging her.

"I know, but I wanted to help you with dinner" Nicki smiled, hugging drakes mum back.

"Well then come in." she stept aside letting nicki in.

Nicki smelled the great scent of the Lasagna Sandi was making and already became more hungry then before.

"It smells so great." She walked towards the kitchen to get the plates and glasses.

"Wait till you get to eat it. I tried a new style of the Lasagna a friend of mine told me and I hope you will like it" Sandi said getting some juice out of the fridge and putting them down on the table.

She got the Lasagna out of the oven and went over to get a knife. Nicki took a piece and put one on Sandi's plate and then one on hers. They begun to eat and it was really delicious.

"This is really great," she complimented Sandi and continued to eat. "You have to show me how to do this"

"I will since I got lot of time" sne laughed at nicki. "I also made some desert, but it isn't done yet."

They didn't talk much and just ate and Sandi got the cake out of the oven and gave nicki a piece.

"So nicki, did you think about getting married with Drake?" Nicki's eyes widened.

"What?" Nicki said, still in shock. "Isn't it a little bit too early, I mean, Drake and I are already dating for like a year and half but this is really too early"

"I'm just joking nicki, calm down."

They ate the cake and nicki helped Sandi to clean up the table and to put the dishes in the dishwasher.

They talked a lot about Drake, The show & everything else when Nicki's phone begun to ring she received a message from Jessi.

Nicki, I'm at the hospital. Ryan got into a car accident. Please come. I need you by my side. -Jessi

Nicki was shocked and immediately stood up and made her way to the door.

"Sandi, I have to go now, Ryan got into a car accident and Jessi is at the hospital now."

"Oh my God, please tell me then how he is, okay?" Sandi said with a serious voice

"I will, bye."

"Take care of yourself,Nicki"

With that she left the house and drove to the hospital.
