A girl and a Boy

"Tell us the truth Oliver, why are you doing all of this and why did you lie!" Felicity demanded. "You know why, to honor my father" Oliver said. "Stop! Lying to me Oliver" She yelled. "I'm not" Oliver defend aggressively. "Calm down Ollie" Oliver's Fiancee Barry said gently holding his hand. "Just tell us the truth babe, tell me the truth" Barry said softly looking into Oliver's eyes. "I- I can't" He mumbled and only Barry heard. "Please?" Barry said softly. Oliver shook his head trying not to let his emotions get the best of him. "I don't- I- i can't" He said looking between the two of them. "What about just me would that help?" Barry asked. Oliver shrugged. "Can you try? For me?" Barry asked. Oliver sighed but nodded. "I'll give you two a minute" Felicity sighed walking away. Oliver looked at the floor. "Why are you doing this whole crusade, what started it?' Barry asked. "A girl and a Boy" Oliver said only resulting in Barry looking confused. "The girl, Shado is the reason I started this. She was the girl I was with on the island." Oliver said. "As in dated" Barry asked and Oliver nodded. "I knew her father from my first year on the island and I'm the reason he's dead and the reason she's dead. I choose between her and Sara and now Shado is dead because of it" Oliver said. "I promised her father I would take care of her and I failed," Oliver whispered. Barry gently wrapped his arms around Oliver. "It was an impossible choice that's not your fault" he said. "Yes it is" Oliver said "don't try and convince me otherwise because you won't". Barry sighed "Fine, and the boy?" Barry said only slightly jealous but Oliver could tell. "Don't worry when I say boy I mean young boy," Oliver said and Barry nodded. "The reason I continue this charade is... for a boy, William Clayton... m-y um.." Oliver trailed off. "Your what" Barry asked. "My son" Oliver said looking up at Barry. "W-what" Barry said. "I have a son, he's about 12 now. I had a thing with a co-ed from Central before the accident. I was with Laurel at the time and my mother gave her a million dollar check to tell me that she miscarried." Oliver said. "Ollie..." Barry trailed off. "I'm so sorry I kept this from you but his mother said that if I wanted a chance to get to know William no one could know I was his father. Even William himself." Oliver said. "Please don't be mad" Oliver mumbled and Barry hugged him. "I'm not mad at you Ollie I'm just sorry you had to deal with that alone" Barry said.

"I'm nervous" Barry said, "Me too he's never come to stay with me like this but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend a whole weekend with him" Oliver said kissing Barry's cheek. "I'm excited to meet him through," Barry said smiling. Oliver nodded and there was a knock on the door. Oliver opened it with Barry on his hip. "Hey William" Oliver said smiling. "Hey" Willam said smiling. "Thanks for watching him this weekend" William's mother said. "It's no problem at all" Oliver said. "Who's this?" She asked gesturing to Barry. "My Fiance Barry" Oliver said. "Barry this is William and his mother Samantha" "It's lovely to meet you," Samantha said shaking Barry's hand. "Is he the one?" William asked Oliver excitement in his voice. "Yes, he is." Oliver nodded. "You know the flash!" William said. Barry chuckled softly. "Yeah we've met" he answered. "Cool!" William said. Samantha smiled "I have a plane to catch thank you again, Oliver," She said. "No problem," He said letting William in. "Do you have any Flash stories?" William asked Barry. "Yeah I have a few" Barry said giving Oliver a knowing look. Oliver smiled and kissed Barry's cheek. "You two get to know each other I'll make lunch" He said ruffling Williams hair and going into the kitchen.
