After a day of craziness, with the dead being unveiled by Bonnie, all hell broke loose. Mason Lockwood terrorized Damon, Jeremy kissed his dead girlfriend Anna, Stefan's oldest friend Lexi attempted to switch his humanity on, Anna's mother Pearl's vampires terrorized the town, and Bonnie's grandmother Shelia helped her close the door on the other side, as Jer likes to call it.

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was 6 in the morning, making me groan. I picked it up and looked at the caller id. Immediately my heart started racing, as the id was now 'Klaus' instead of 'Unknown.'

I decided to add him as a contact because he kept calling me so much. I actually looked forward to our calls now, and I didn't understand why. I sat up on my bed, pushing my hair out of my face, and answered the phone. "Hello?" I groggily spoke.

"Someone's tired." Klaus chuckled. I smiled at his voice.

"Well, it's 6 in the morning. Someone have better of died if you're calling me this early in the morning." I joked. I heard another laugh on the other end, before he continued.

"I was calling to let you know I'll be returning to Mystic Falls in a few days. I believe that's when homecoming is, yes?" he asked, obviously amused. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, and I didn't get a date, knowing you wouldn't take no for an answer." I scoffed/laughed.

"Did anyone else ask you?" He questioned curiously. 5 boys to be exact asked me to homecoming, which I declined, because I knew they wouldn't be able to take me anyways, seeing how possessive Klaus was being over me.

"Five, actually. But don't worry, I turned them all down because of your earlier warning." I chuckled. I heard shuffling on the other line before he spoke again.

"I look forward to seeing you again, Emma." he said with a genuine voice. I raised both of my eyebrows in surprise, before replying.

"Well, you were the one to leave Mystic Falls." I teased. He chuckled at this, making my smile grow. If you're wondering why I'm even being nice to him after all he's done, I don't have an answer for myself. I just can't bring myself to hate him.

"I'll see you soon, love." Klaus replied, pulling me out of my thoughts. The line went dead after, making me sigh in disappointment. When I put it down, there was a knock at my door.

"Come in." I answered. The door opened, revealing Elena. "Hey, Damon wants us to explore this cave he found with Mason Lockwood, are you up for it?" she asked. I nodded and headed over to my dresser, picking out my clothes for the day and getting ready.

When I was done, Elena, Ric, and I all left, heading for the old Lockwood cellar where the cave apparently was, according to Damon. I had a feeling there was going to be major tension in the air with Damon and Alaric, with Damon attempting to apologize, but Ric told us it was a crappy one.

"So the Lockwoods really have no idea that these tunnels are underneath their property?" I asked curiously. "Yeah. Careful where you shine that thing, Elena. Bats hate the light." Alaric looked at Elena. "Wait, what?" she stopped.

"Elena." we heard a whisper. Elena and I whipped our heads around, only to be faced by Damon. "Boo!" he put his hands up. I rolled my eyes while Elena gasped. She then hit him in the arm. "God, Damon." she scolded.

"Scaredy-cat." he smirked. I chuckled at their flirting. "Just ignore him. That's what I do." Alaric sighed. Elena nodded then turned back to Damon. "So you really can't get in?" I questioned. "No. Seems even the ancient Lockwoods were anti-vampire." Damon shook his head. He walked past Elena and I. "What do you mean, ancient?" Elena asked.
