I stood in front of the large flat screen TV that was in front of the huge king sized bed flipping channels. It's been so long since I could do something as normal as this. I finally landed on an old The Office rerun. Eddie had disappeared into the bathroom a little while ago.

I heard the bathroom door crack open and Eddie walked out motioning for me to come here with his index finger.

This is a fucking dream. Dear Penthouse Magazine..

I blushed to myself hoping he didn't notice and promptly followed his command.

I walked into the luxurious large white bathroom. Eddie had ran me a steaming hot bubble bath, and sat out a bottle of champagne, a champagne flute and two joints on a small table next to the large lavish tub.

"I figured you deserved a little pampering." He smiled down at me with his precious dimples on full display.

My smile finally faltered when I realized he never accepted my request for him to stay. Eddie must've noticed because he stepped closer asking what was wrong.

"Can I tell you something?" I asked, my voice shaking.

"Anything at all, sweetheart. I'm here for you." He reassured.

"I have a difficult time during storms like these. They bring me back to a dark time when I was a kid and it makes it hard to be alone on nights like this. So, please stay with me. At least until the storm passes?" I tried to hold on to my dignity as I practically begged a stranger to stay with me because I'm scared of a little rain.

"Of course, Syd. I'm not going anywhere. Now go enjoy your bath. I've put a dry robe hanging on the rack behind the door. I'll send your clothes to be washed and dried while your in the bath. I'll be right on the other side of that door, sweetheart." He tucked a stray wave of unruly blonde hair behind my ear. My skin burned at his touch.

Eddie walked out shutting the door behind him. I peeled my cold wet clothes off my now waterlogged body and tossed them in the sink. I dipped a couple toes into the water testing its temperature before stepping in and slowly submerging my frigid tired body into lush lavender smelling bubbles and steaming hot water. The is the best feeling I've had in a very very long time.

I hear something on he other side of the door and giggle to myself figuring out what it is. Eddie is playing his ukulele on the other side of the door but it was barely audible.

"Eddie? Can you come in here real quick?"

"Uhh.. Are.. Are you decent?" He asked nervously.

I pulled the sheer white shower curtain closed concealing me in my bubble wonderland. "Yes, sir. I am."

"Sir?" Eddie laughed as he opened his the door and poked his head in the bathroom. "Is everything okay?"

"Uhm, yeah I just heard you playing and-"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to bother you I was just trying to drown out the noise of the storm for you." He quickly blurted out.

"Eddie I was just wondering if you take request?" I smiled shyly at him sticking my head out from the closed curtain.

"Anything, for you Syd. Whatcha wanna hear love?"

"Here Comes The Sun. That's my go-to rainy day song." I smiled sheepishly at his wonder filled gaze.

"Sure thing, sweetheart." He hoisted himself up on the marble counter top and started strumming along.

I laid back relaxing in my bubbles and lit myself a joint. It burned my lungs and soothed my soul at the same time. I listened to Eddies one of a kind voice drown out the looming storm that was going on all around us. I truly felt safe, and at peace. A very foreign feeling.

"Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right"

Eddie finished up the song with expertise and was playing something I didn't recognize when a knock came on the door and startled me causing me to jump and water to splash.

"I'll get it!" Eddie chuckled. Finish up and come out when you're ready.

Curious, I pulled the drain from the tub and let the water swirl down the drain. I dried my body and wrapped myself in the fluffiest, white cloud-like bath robe and pulled my hair up into a messy bun to get it off my neck.

I walked out into the room to see Eddie sat on the bed with two large pizzas and a couple sodas watching TV.

"We never got to eat the pizza I ordered earlier so you have to be as hungry as I am." He patted the space on the other side of the bed next to him encouraging me to come and sit.

"I'm starved! Thank you Eddie. For everything. You've shown more kindness to me tonight than I've gotten in years, so thank you." I quickly reached over and wrapped my arms around him in an unsuspecting hug that he quickly reciprocated.

"I'm enjoying spending time with you, Syd. Don't thank me." His smile reached his pearly blue eyes and I melted into his touch.

"Now c'mon. Let's grub."

We sat on the bed sharing pizza and laughing at Jim and Dwight's antics on The Office. Rooster had long been asleep at the end of the bed snoring himself into oblivion.

Eddie got up and put away the pizza boxes. He once again picked up his Ukulele and made his way back over to the bed after turning off the bed side lamp. He stretched out his legs and patted his leg motioning for me to lay my head in his lap. I did as I was told and listened as Eddie strummed along singing softly to me.

I was in absolute heaven and if this is all a dream I don't want to wake up. My eyes were burning from my lack of sleep and soon enough they became too heavy to hold open.

"Goodnight, Princess. You're safe with me." He whispered in my ear in his low soothing baritone.

If I wake up on a fucking stoop in the morning and this has all been a dream I'm going to be PISSED.
