When things we hold dear are taken from us, we're outraged. When things go our way, we swell with pride and joy. Emotions are inevitable. Still, it always feels like there's no such thing as happiness.
Does happiness exist? It does. Sure, that cheer we feel is threatened easily. It doesn't take much for a smile to turn into a frown, but it's a feat to keep a smile on. Clouds often steal the sun's thunder, bringing a shadow over our lives and the memories we carry. What starts off as a bright and sunny day can turn into a drizzling mess. Besides, a single mishap is all it takes.
