just a warning: it's another short one but the next will be long again! dress she chooses is above
"I say we go with either blue or red, blue matches your eyes and red compliments your skin tone," Lucy pointed out as they rummaged through the racks of dresses. Rhia looked down at the dresses she had laying over her arms and shot her sister a smile.
"Good, because that's what I have so far," they laughed and continued to look. Occasionally, Lucy would hold up a dress, and Rhia would either nod or shake her head. It was an endless cycle until each Bloodstorm child had five dresses.
"I think this should be good for now, yeah?" Lucy asked, shoving her dresses into Rhia's hands. "Go change!"
Rhia did as she was told, fumbling with her clothes to get them off her body. Shimmying the first dress on, she twirled in the mirror. She tried to lift her arms, but the off the shoulder sleeves prevented the action. What if somebody picked a fight at the dance? She wanted full range of motion. Gathering all the off the shoulder dresses, she walked out of the stall.
Twirling for her sister, she voiced her opinions. "I want to be able to move my arms," she explained, hanging the extra dresses on the rack.
Lucy nodded. "Makes sense. I like that one, though."
"I do, too," Rhia sighed before going back into the stall. The next dress was baby blue with long sleeves. Pink flowers decorated the front of the bodice area, and she really liked it.
Walking out, she posed like a model in front of her sister. Lucy smiled, twirling her finger. Rhia twirled and saw Lucy's reaction change in the mirror. "Did you even look at the back?"
Rhia frowned, looking in the mirror behind her. Her eyes popped wide at the sight of her very visible back. "How would I wear a bra with this?" she squealed. "Gosh dang it!"
Lucy just laughed. "It's okay, go try on the next one!" she urged, pushing Rhia back into the stall. The dress she was to try on next was daring: a deep red, strapless dress with a high-low skirt. Rhia let it fall onto her body, liking the feeling of it on her skin. Flowers decorated the top and dispersed as they went down into the skirt. The first thing her brain pointed out, however, was that the color matched the streak in Warren's hair. Grinning like a mad woman, she left the stall, doing a full catwalk with a pose at the end and everything, making Lucy laugh so hard that her water that she was drinking came out her nose. Rhia giggled, twirling and watching as her skirt fanned out at the action.
"I love it!" she giggled again.
"I do, too! How much is it?"
Rhia checked the tag. "Only fifty dollars!"
"Easy money, we've got the dress!" Lucy cheered, throwing a punch to the air above her head. Rhia changed out of the dress and into her clothes, and Lucy paid for the dress.
