Ch 7: Death and Nightmares

Jinx's POV~
The next few days of classes were pretty boring. We started working on lessons and worked on new fighting techniques. Friday afternoon I decided to go back to where Lily and I killed those bandits. I couldn't let them Rest In Peace after deciding they wanted to steal from the tree. I planned to keep them with me forever... in a spirit hold. With some practice I managed to manifest a school building, the only way for anybody other than me to get there is by going to sleep. When I got to the bodies I saw that I didn't have much time to take their souls. I used the spell to send their souls to the school and burned their bodies to keep them there. I transported myself to the school to let them know what was going on. "Hey you're one of those girls who killed us!" The bandit yelled. "Guilty as charged." I smirked. "I'LL KILL YOU!!" The second bandit yelled as he ran towards me. I scoffed an removed the bandage over my eyes. The bandit stopped dead in his tracks. "Bold of you to assume that you could even do such thing in this world." I said. I forced him back to his spot. Just then I noticed that the third bandit was no longer there. My eyes widened to the feeling of something sharp go through my stomach and I looked down. A knife. I fell forward onto my knees and fell limp on the floor. "Hah...I did it...I DID IT!" The bandit yelled. "BWAHAHAHAHA! Looks like she isn't as strong as she said was." The first bandit said laughing. I decided to get of the ground a dust myself. "Don't you just love playing Opossum." I sighed. "Now looks like you all don't understand who's in charge here." I said with an evil grin. Looked over to the scientist who then started screaming in pain. "Music to my ears." I stared. Everyone else looked petrified. I snapped my fingers and the man stopped. He fell to his hands and knees and panted from exhaustion. "Now that you all know what happens who tries to kill me. Let this be a warning." I stated. "Also I want to make some things clear. Their is no way out of here and if any of you try to kill me again... you will be eliminated. Now it's time to start the tour. Since you all wasted my time, there will be some areas that I won't warn you of and you will have to figure out what happens if you do happen to go to those areas. Now please follow me." I explained. I decided to do to their rooms first. "This is where you will rest. You can't really sleep since you're dead but you can rest to get more energy." I explained opening the door. They all ran around and chose the beds. "Alright follow me to the mess hall." I said walking away. They all quickly followed behind me so they wouldn't get lost. The automatic doors opened to show a large cafeteria. Along the back wall where three rows of buffet style food holders. "This is the mess hall. I will use my magic to bring outside foods in here." I explained. "Why is it so big if there are only four of us." The scientist asked. It took a lot to hold in my laughter. "If you thought I wasn't gonna kill more people then you are surely mistaken." I replied. The scientist went pale at my comment. I looked at the clock on the far wall. 3:35 pm. "Alright I have to leave soon so I need to make something known. You are free to explore the building however, if the area is blocked off please refrain from trying to enter said area. If you do somehow manage to get in... it won't be pleasant." I explained. With that I left to go and deal with Linker. Before I met with him I went home and took a shower to get the blood off of me. I put on a black sweater and put a new bandage over my eyes. I could control my powers but I'd rather not have to deal with people staring at my eyes. I tried to cover my sent with some coconut perfume so people wouldn't smell death when I walked by. Afterwards I left to meet Linker.

Linker's POV~
I decided to arrive an hour early. It was honestly a big mistake. I went to get coffee but it didn't really work and I eventually crashed.
Le time skip
I didn't realize I fell asleep until I felt someone slapping my face. "Hey wake up." The voice it sounded like a girl's voice. I groaned and opened an eye. Someone in a black was standing in front of me. "Linker get your ass up." The voice said. I looked up to see Jinx standing with a bored expression. "Oh shit I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I fell asleep." I said scratching the back of my neck. "It's fine now get up." She said. I stood up to stretch and then we walked to the food court. I looked at Jinx to see that she was looking around in awe. 'Cute' I thought to myself. "Never been here before?" I asked. "No I haven't." She said. "Well then in that case what do you like to eat." I asked. Then she turned to look at me. "Well I like a lot of spicy foods." She said. I took a moment to think. "Their might be a spicy udon place around here." I said looking around. Once I spotted the restaurant, I grabbed her hand and rushed over to it. "W-woah slow down!" She said surprised. I didn't listen and only slowed down when we got to the restaurant. "Why did you start running?!" She said panting. "Oh yea sorry about that." I said scratching my neck. "They're having a lunch special for limited time and I didn't want to miss it." I finished. "Oh I see. I wouldn't mind trying that." She replies. I nod and we walked into the restaurant. It didn't take long for the waiter to come over to our table. We both ordered the udon special and talked while we waited. "Sooo... why do you wear a bandage over your eyes?" I asked. "Because I hate when people stare at my eyes." She replied bluntly. "Why? I-I if you're not comfortable telling me then that's fine." I stuttered out. "It's fine. It just when people stare at my eyes... it reminds me of my father... he always called me a monster because of my skin and eyes..." she trailed off. It made me feel bad for asking. Even though she didn't show any emotion I could tell that she felt deep sorrow. "Hey it's ok just forget I asked." I said feeling bad. "It's fine." She replied. Just then our food came. Jinx immediately started eating. "H-Hey careful it's really spicy!!" I said. She looked up at me and tilted her head. Cute. She swallowed her food. "What do you mean?" She asked. "I-It's just that the specials are known to be extra spicy." I said. "Oh please this is nothing." She said whit a straight face. How could she sound so cocky but still look so emotionless. "Oh wow then you really must like spicy foods then!" I replied with a toothy grin. After we finish I payed for the food and we left. It's was now night time so I walked her to her dorm. "So... any plans for the weekend Shorty?" I asked. "Don't make fun of my height... I'll kill you." Jinx replied bluntly. "But yea I do..." she continued. "You wanna tell me what?" I asked now intrigued. "Lilian and I have some... business... we need to handle. But before that we are gonna need to go home." She explains. I couldn't help but want to know more. "Go home? For what?" I asked. "You ask a lot of fucking questions." She deadpanned. "Ah. S-Sorry! Just be careful." I said as I raised my hands in defense. Jinx let out a slight chuckle. "Careful of what?" She asked. "Well according to the latest news there's a mass reaper on the loose." I said looking around. "Im not too worried about it." She laughed. "How can you be calm?!" I asked getting a little paranoid. As we reached her dorm. "You seem to be scared out of your ass..." she started. She let out a deep, conflicted sigh. "Alright this may be dumbest thing I've ever done..." she trailed off. I tilted my head in utter confusion. "Just remember this phrase ok?" I nodded in agreement. "It's time to go to school." She finally finished. "Is that a code or something?" I asked trying to think about what the phrase could mean. "Don't over analyze it... let's just say it will keep you from dying a painful death." She said bluntly. My blood ran cold. Something felt off but I didn't know what it was. She had started to walk to the door of her dorm building. "W-Wait!" I stopped her. She turned to face me. "Yea?" She said. "Your number." I said. Se tilted her head not understanding what I meant. Cute. "Can I get your number?" I asked. She then pulled a piece of paper and a pen out of god knows where and wrote her number on it. She handed it to me and walked back to the dorm. "I wouldn't lose that if I were you. Something thing tells me you'll be using it in the future." She said as she entered the dorms. A sudden chill went down my spine. Even though she told me not to think too hard about it, I couldn't help but feel the something was off. There was something she wasn't telling me. I started off to the male dormitories.

Jinx's POV~
I entered the dorm room to find Lilian playing on her phone. "Sounds like poor Linker almost pissed his pants" she laughed. "Although you may have told a let him know too much." She continued. "What if he tells someone the phrase?" She said tapping her chin. I stretched one arm over my chest. "If he does, he won't be the only one that dies... however I wanna see if he can find out who the reaper is." I explained bluntly. "Oooh Jinx you're so bad~" Lily cooed. I let out a soft chuckle but immediately felt terrible. "God I need to puke up this human food. Get the knives, I need food." I said walking towards the bathroom. I really shouldn't have eat such a large amount of human food..."Say no more! Man it's been so long since we've had a proper meal!" Lily said as she ran into the kitchen. After getting rid of the human food I got kinda pissed off. The sliver of humanity I had left was slowly slipping away the hungrier I got. "Make sure you don't kill them immediately. Wouldn't want to lose my appetite after one person." I said taking the bandage off of my eyes. "What a sadistic move Jinx." Lily said. "Not like you're any better you crazy fuck." I said rolling my eyes and looking at the time. 2:25 a.m. "alright let's go." I said. I decided to let Lily choose the town to attack. It was one close to the school so we had to be extra careful so we had to put a sound barrier over the town so their screams wouldn't alert  anyone at the school. After two hours of killing everyone but the children, we wiped them of their memories and left the town to return that morning. It was kinda weird to have around fifty children hugging my legs and tail but after we calmed them down and got them fed, we found multiple orphanages that were willing to keep them. After that went down I got a text from Linker.

There is a town that was attacked last night near the school... no one heard about it around the school so I was worried...
Me~
Oh yea lily an I were walking and saw a bunch of kids crying over dead bodies. We went to check it out and they ran over to us and tried to talk over each other. We calmed them down, got them fed, and into an orphanage.

"I really do wonder how long it will take him to figure it out" I said out loud, putting my phone away "his reaction is going to be the best part." Lilian snickered as we walked through the forest. "Well I guess all we do now is wait and see what happens." I stretched. Let's see how long it takes him to connect the dots...let the game begin...
