Ch 10: Level one

~Jinx's POV~
It's been a month since Lily and I have started Ender High. In that month we made a decent amount of friends and a few unnecessary enemies. Those friends being Shawna, Dawna, Ryder, Luis, Linker, and Pastel. The others haven't met Pastel but he is always sticking my side so I wouldn't have to save his ass all the time. That still doesn't help the fact that whenever he goes to the restroom gets his ass beat IN the restroom. This then leads to him limping his way back to me, him telling me who did it, me beating their ass, and then him apologizing for wasting my time. Usually I wouldn't care too much about situations like these but Pastel is basically my child. Especially since he basically sold his soul to me. But to be honest every time he gets his ass kicked, it makes me wonder why they do it. Whatever... I'll ask him about later- "H-Hey Jinx do you could help me out?" Dammit...

"Who did it this time?" I ask wrapping his arm around my shoulder to support him. "I umm... I fell... yea that's right... I fell." He says. "Pastel you do know I can tell when you're lying right?" His eyes widen. "I-I-No! I'm not!" I look him in the eyes. He's lying for sure but why... obviously I'll find out but he doesn't know that. "Whatever... come on we need get you healed up"

~Pastel's POV~

She can't know! He'd kill me if I told her...

A few hours before seeing Jinx

"Please... stop... I did nothing wrong..." I pleaded. "Well you've been hanging around that bitch Jinx and My buddy Linker said you might know about what she does when no one's around. But since you won't spill the beans, I'll have to beat it outta ya." Dammit that's what he's after... wait... isn't Jinx and Linker a thing? He'll sell her out for sure! "Please! I don't know what you're talking about!" I tried to crawl away but he stopped me by breaking my leg. Fuck. "Ugh. This is getting boring." He started to walk away before stopping and looking over his shoulder. "Oh, and before I forget... don't say anything to Jinx about this. If you do, I'll kill you for it" he says with an evil grin before walking away. When he got far enough, I crawled to a nearby wall to support myself and started looking for Jinx.

Back to present time

Jinx basically carried me to her dorm to get her sister to heal me. It was pretty embarrassing but I couldn't complain. "Y'know this would be a lot better for me if you told me who did this..." she says laying me on the bed. I can't say anything but I have a feeling Jinx could do a lot worse than just kill someone. "I-I can't...he said he'd kill me if I say anything to you" I say avoiding eye contact. Jinx lets out a sinister giggle that sent shivers don't my spine. "I was going to find out weather you told or not but now I have more reason to do more than just killing him." She say pulling out her phone. She dials a number.

"Hey lily, come to the dorm. It's Pastel again" she says hanging up the phone. "Now back to your situation-" "I'm here what's the problem?" Lilian says teleporting in. "Broken leg and black eye. Nothing too serious but he still needs healing" Jinx says turning towards her. Lilian immediately got to work. "Anyways like I was saying...if you can't tell me who did this then I'll have to find out my self. This will take extra effort to do but it will be fun... for me." Jinx explains. She turns away from and starts thinking. After a short moment she turns around with an evil smirk on her face. "I have an idea..." I nod to show that I'm listening. "Since to can't tell me your self I'll just have to find out for my self. All you have to do go to the restroom during break. Once you leave, the person who did this is bound to follow you." She says.

"But how would you know? There will be a lot of people going to the restroom at that time."

"You have a point... then go behind the school during lunch."

"Ok... wait but how will you catch him without being noticed?"

"Leave that to Lilian and I"

I gave a simple nod. "I'm done with your leg. As for you Jinx, I think I know a spell that will help you. Lilian say. Jinx nodded and turned back to me. "The plan will start tomorrow so get some rest and don't fuck it up." She ends with a sadistic smile. I can't lie, those too scare the ever-living shit outta me, but they take care of me in a way... Mother Jinx and Auntie Lilian...heh heh...they hate when I call them that...

I bowed to Jinx and left. On my way to my dorm, I was unfortunately stopped by the one who gives me hell. "Ah, Pastel... what a pleasant surprise." He says. "Ah, _____... what an unpleasant surprise." I retort. He gives me a 'Tch' and looks me up and down. "I see you just left Jinx's dorm." He says out of the blue. "What?" I say confused. "Your leg isn't broken anymore...shame." He replies smugly. "Anyways my buddy Linker says that you'd better find get info about her by the end of the week or we are going to have problems." He says with a massive grin. A shiver ran down my spine and slowly nodded. As long as I play along with it, I have less chance of getting found out...

Finally getting back to my dorm, as soon as I saw my bed I immediately face planted on to it. "Tomorrow is going to be interesting..."

~Linker's POV~

'I have to find out about these village attacks. Especially the one that I talked to Jinx about. "I like flying over the clouds at night" although being a logical statement, could it really just be a coincidence that whenever there is an attack she and Lilian just so happened to be up and away from campus to "take a flight in the clouds"? I'll find out the truth even if it kills me...

~3rd person POV~

Little did Linker know that it was in fact going to cost him his life...
