Ch 9: Played

~Lilian's POV~
Monday
We are currently in homeroom. Linker is making terrible effort to flirt with Jinx while she just ignored him. From the look on her face I could tell she was slowly losing her patience. "Jinx why are you ignoring me?" Linker whines. No answer. "I wonder why..." I said holding back a laugh. The teacher then walks into class. "Alright students quiet down please." The teacher says as she stands in front of the class. Everyone stops talking and waits for her to continue. "Thank you. Now, I've just been informed that we are getting a group of new students next week so instead of studies this week we will be getting ready for their arrival. Also keep in mind that these students are humans." The teacher explains. Jinx and I let out a synchronized 'tch'. Humans... seriously? "By the way Jinx, Lilian, your father wants you two to be in the welcoming committee for these student so please stay after class." She adds. I hear Jinx let out a low growl but reluctantly nods her head. -why me- Jinx says through the link. -Correction, why us...- I reply.

~Time skip, After Class~

"Ok you two so your jobs are simple. Before the week is over you need to find two more people to aid you in welcoming the new students." The teacher explains. "How many new students are we getting exactly?" I ask. "There will be 8 new students arriving by bus from train station." She says. 'No shit sherlock' I think to myself. "That means we would be able to split them equally between us." I say. "Yea. It would be easier to give two people a tour than it would be to walk around with 8 new humans." Jinx explains. I nod in agreement. "Well then it settled. Find two more people and continue planning." The teacher says. We both nod and walk out of the class. "So who are we going to ask?" Jinx questions me while walking. "I'm thinking Luis and Ryder." I replied. "Not the twins?" "No... even if they are good with people, they are super shy and it wouldn't be fair to them." I reply to Jinx's question. "Alright that's a fair point." Jinx says, stuffing her hands in her hoodie pockets. We continued walking to our next class, Flight training.

Jinx's POV~

Lily and I arrive to class a little late but she explained that we were held up by a teacher. Our coach said it was ok and that the class was having a free day today. We walked over to Luis and unfortunately... Linker was their. "Jinx your here!" He screeches. Fuck my life. I sit down next to him as I started to go through a life crisis. I started to draw symbols on a piece of paper absentmindedly. Lily seemed to notice and snatched the paper away from me which snapped me out of my trance. "Huh?" I say looking up at lily. "You good?" She asked. "Yea... I'm fine." I said as I stood up to leave class. "I'll be back..." I said as I walked away. I walked down the hall to the restrooms to splash water on my face. "Well well well... if it isn't Jinx." A voice says from behind me. I look up into the mirror to that bitch Shelby. I gave a deep sigh. Today was really not the day. "The fuck do you want? If you couldn't already tell I'm trying to suffer in peace." I say giving a half-assed glare. I to look at her annoying face. She looked me up and down before answering. "You think YOU are suffering? Think about what you did to my fucking friend!" She screeches. At this point it was taking a lot out of me to keep my composure and not punch the shit out of her. "Bold of you to assume that I actually give a rats ass about you or your friends." I say through gritted teeth. She grabs my arm. 'Disgusting' I think to myself. "JUST TELL ME HOW TO FIX HER!" She yells. I've had enough. In a blink of an eye I had pinned her to the wall with my hand around her neck. "If you ever put you filthy hands on me again I will break them off." I threaten. It was a pretty weak threat on my part but what ever. "Is that...a threat?" She says gasping for air. An evil smirk appeared on my face. "No bitch... is a promise." I say throwing her to the ground. I looked down at her and she sent me a weak glare. "Y'know Shelby...one day you're gonna fuck with the wrong sister on the wrong day." I say turning around and walking back to class. 'What a waste of ten minutes' I think to myself. Before walking into class I put my face mask on. Walking back to the corner where Lily and the others where I noticed someone staring at me. I haven't seen them before but I really wasn't in the mood to think about it more. I shot them a glare and continued walking back to the others. "Well look who decided to come back to class." Lily says. I playfully rolled my eyes. "I thought you were going to go home" Linker comments. "I was thinking about it to be honest." I shrugged. I laid on Links shoulder. "Don't. Move." I say going to sleep.

Linker's POV~

Jinx falls asleep rather quickly but not before mumbling "I should've went home" under her breath. A small smile appeared on my face. "Y'know even if she won't admit it, Jinx has gotten attached to you." Lilian says out of nowhere. "W-what?" I ask out of embarrassment. "Jinx has gotten attached to you." She said again looking at Jinx. I looked over to her as well. "But let me make one thing clear. If you do anything to betray her then you better bet your ass that I'll hunt you down." She says darkly. "We may act like we don't care about each other but when it matters most we'll be there for each other." Jinx suddenly cuts in. I jumped with resulted in getting punched in the arm. "I told you not to move." She says getting up to stretch. "Owww Jinx why must you hurt me this way." I whined. She just rolled her eyes and continued stretching. Come on, class is about to end and I have somewhere to be." Jinx says looking over to Lilian. "You're skipping your next class?" I ask confused. "Yea it's magic and potion making. We don't need it." Lilian replies standing up. Jinx pulled a mouth mask out of her pocket and put it on. Lilian turned on her heel as she started to walk out of class, Jinx following her.

Lilian's POV~

Jinx and I were walking out of the school. "So what are we doing today?" I asked while walking down the steps. "Hmm... I was thinking maybe get some food and then go home." Jinx replies while scrolling through her phone. "Ok then where should we go?" I asked. "Let's just go to the mall. I don't know what I want to eat." She says. We continued on to the mall and headed to the food court. Jinx decided to get Chinese food so I went to get us drinks. A Diet Coke for Jinx and a Fanta for me. I went to find us a table for and sat down waiting for the food. After a few minutes of waiting, Jinx returns with our food.  Let me just tell you... it was so fucking good. After finally finishing our food we got up. "So how are you going to be able to keep that down?" I asked. "Maybe for a few hours... I'll throw it up in a forest later on." Jinx shrugs.

When we got back to the dorms it was utter chaos. Apparently someone lit the boys bathroom on fire some how so now they have to use the one inside the school building. "How the actual fuck does someone light the BATHROOM on fire? There's basically water everywhere!" I say to no one in particular. "I don't even know but I think it's safe to say that the boys are crackheads." Jinx replies rubbing her temples. I simply nod and we walk away. We reach our dorm and immediately go to bed. "This day can eat my ass." I say before crashing onto my bed.
