For this spell, you will need 10 white candles, some salt, and a piece of paper. Make two circles of protection, one big enough for you to sit in, and the other just big enough to place the paper in. Draw an upside-down pentacle with an ankh in the center. Light the candles. Place your hands over the small circle and chant:
"Portal of power, I activate thee.
Open to the realm where the spirits be."
Take your wand and outline the star. Say:
"Spirit of mischief, I call upon thee,
Trapped in the prison in front of me,
To do my will and as I bid thee,
I control you, I command thee.
Get revenge on whom I hate,
For I brought you through the Gate.
I shall release thee if thou wilt agree,
Do do this thing that I command thee.
As ye complete as I ask,
As soon as ye complete this task,
I send thee back to whence ye came,
I send thee back without shame."
If you feel the spirit's agreement, blow out the candles of the SMALL circle ONLY. Once you have done this, say:
"Spirit, be on your way. Do not waste any time of day."
If the spirit does not agree, point you wand at it and say:
"Spirit, back to whence ye came!"
Do this also if the spirit tries to attack after releasing it. Any spirit that comes through the portal, you have the ability to send it back, even if the portal is closed.
(Later, I went back and added caution:)
This spell is dangerous because it opens an indiscriminate portal to the other side. Also, trying to force a spirit to do something against their will is wrong. If you are looking to work with spirits properly, look to Voodoo practices that establish relationships with spirits of the other side.
(I was bullied often all the way through High School. I was always an outcast; a pariah per se. As such, many were incredibly mean to me, and I was looking for different ways to defend myself against the evils of others. I wrote this particular spell when I was angry with another student for harassing me. I'm not sure if I ever used it though. Looking back at it now, it seems choppy and childish. I have better practices for this now, and will probably never use it, but it is a part of my past, so here it is.
Doing rituals like this were often difficult, as i Often didn't have the house to myself for very long. I would sometimes snag small tealight candles from my mother's large supply that she used for different wax melts, so white was most certainly the most common colour of candle I had at my disposal.)
