The Failed Phoenix

Upon hearing the shout from inside I immediately bust through the doors and see Issei screaming at Riser Phenex. "I won't let you take part of my harem!" Issei screams at Riser. "You have no choice you insolent child. This marriage was arranged way before you had come to meet your precious 'president'." Riser spits back. Risers character has clearly been re-vamped in this, he still has his arrogance however he isn't as... Handicapped as the Riser, portrayed in the anime or other fanfics. In a burst of flame Riser summons his peerage and starts bragging about his harem to Issei. Still just as perverted though. I sigh in disappointment, this draws the rooms attention towards us. "Can you guys argue any louder, I could hear you from the other end of campus. Christ..." I groan as every devil in the room flinches and holds their head in agony. I smirk in turn at rediscovering their weakness. "How dare you speak out of turn you arrogant fool. You are in the presence of Riser Phenex, the heir to the Phenex name and..." He starts ranting before I cut him off. "I know exactly who you are 'your highness'... I mock, "however I couldn't care less. In the hierarchy of hell, at the moment you hold no actual power at the moment. Just because you're arranged to marry the little sister of the current Lucifer doesn't mean it can get to your head because you can just as equally lose the right to this." I finish. "But I have never lost a rating game, and I highly doubt that a newbie like Rias will be able to beat a phoenix." He smirks arrogantly. "Let your arrogance take over like this and it'll be your downfall." I sneer back. After having a stare down for a minute or so Riser orders one of his pawns, Mira, to jump me. His arrogance irritates me, he clearly underestimates his opponents, thus he asks his weakest to teach his targets a lesson, however...

As Mira swings her bo-staff towards me I immediately grab the end that's going to strike me, stopping her in midair. I then slam her into the ground using her own bo-staff as she collides with the ground, the amount of pressure applied to the bo-staff causes it to snap in half as Mira falls unconscious from the impact. "Who's next?" I taunt monotonously. The twins Ni and Li immediately jump over the sofa and dash towards me one jumps and flips over my head the other dashes at me trying for my torso. I grab the one trying to strike my front, spin her and put her into a guillotine hold, crushing her trachea. I grab the other one without looking wrapping my hand around her throat and slam her into the ground. Both are in a weakened state and start to back away.

My wings of rot make an appearance as Hecate also appears from my shadow, she wraps herself around my arm,not literally of course. Her eyes and my own glow purple and black, both colours swirling together like paint in water, as black smoke trails from my eyes. "Kneel!" Hecate and I order at the same time, a  lavender purple wave pulsing out from me upon finishing the word. Both peerages simultaneously fall and take a knee, both Riser and Issei fighting the force that are holding them down. "Bow!" Hecate demands as her eyes glow brighter. The grandiose display of power making me smirk, the squirming and writhing of those who try to resist our commands. Hecate steps forth towards Riser summoning Frostmourne and holding the tip of the blade held up towards Risers neck. "What is it like feeling inferior 'Almighty Phenex'." Hecate mocks. "These are the consequences that you face for defying my wielder, be lucky that it's only me who has been awoken, the dragon will not take to kindly to her master being spat on by the likes of yourself." She glares.

As if on queue a portal opens up behind me, resembling that of the portal to enter the ascendant plane in Destiny 2. Out of it came a much smaller but definitely the same, Riven of a thousand voices, The final Ahamkara and the cause for the curse over the dreaming city. She proceeds to literally wrap herself around my arm, much like she would cling to the crystal at the beginning of her raid encounter, resting her mandible and upper hands upon my shoulders. I break out into a full on grin at this point, learning that another of my partner's comes from my favourite raid of D2. Her face plate opens each of her ten eyes glaring daggers into the failed phoenix's soul. She emits an ear drum splitting roar clearly displaying her anger. Hecate steps back towards me reclaiming her place at my left side.

However what I had failed to notice is the taken blights forming outside as tens of taken flood into the abandoned building through the windows and doors coming to Riven's aid. Two taken knights hold their blades at the neck of risers queen as acolytes hold the rest of Riser's peerage at gun point, finally two captain's come and stand guard behind me. "Do you see the near limitless extent of my power Phenex?" I smirk, simultaneously admiring the astonishing creature clinging onto my person, her four tails wrapping around my torso defensively. "Rise." I give them permission to stand. "You shall make no more moves on miss Gremory until the ending of your rating game, am I clear?" I question, yet he refuses to answer. I click my tongue disapprovingly. "Didn't your mother tell you it's bad manners to ignore those who are talking to you." I said all whilst gesturing for a knight to stand behind Riser. "I said am I clear!?" Upon finishing the knight swings his blade downward, splaying the flesh on Riser's back. "Yes!" He answers, all whilst screaming in agony. "Now leave." I demand monotonously. In the blink of an eye they had teleported out and back to the underworld. I then dismiss the small group of Taken, they all bow and leave through more taken blights. I then sit down on the sofa opposite Gremory and her peerage, Riven switching from my back to sprawling across the sofa resting her head upon my lap. She may be smaller than the actual Riven, however she is still large standing at a total of 6ft in length and about 4ft in height, on all fours. Chuckilng at her very domesticated pet-like actions I proceed to stroke from her head down to the middle of her back, causing her to snuggle closer to me.

"What the fuck was that!?" Came from opposite me.
