Chapter 9

Last time on This is the Dream

Dom: "If ANY of you dare threaten my goddess, the consequences will be FAR WORSE than they were today! If it comes to that, death will seem like a privilege." I warn as Hecate and I teleport home.

---Now---

I'm back home after the little confrontation between me and the two devil peerages in school. I'm absolutely stunned that without much training I've managed to unlock a new ability and an OP one at that. I'm ecstatic at the fact that not only can I pull any weapon out of a videogame but now I can also pull the abilities out of video games as well. Also the fact one of the gears attached to my soul have made an appearance in the form of a beautiful woman... THAT IS ATTATCHED TO MY FUCKIN' SOUL! I mean seriously that is slightly terrifying to know that a woman knows everything about you, and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING, by that I mean anything from your favourite drink to the your deepest darkest secrets.

But yeah anyways, she's currently asleep, I think, in one of the spare rooms of the house. That's now two women, whom I barely know, staying with me in my new and not so humble abode. I then hear people come crashing through the door and hear about three different voices, one of them seems oddly familiar. I summon a 'Smart Pistol MK 5' because I can't be bothered to aim at 10:00 PM. I then proceed to stealthily dash towards the door in order to determine who the three different voices belong to. I crouch behind one of the bridges passing between two different sections of the upper floors and fortunately passes over the front door giving me a clear view of whom came in. One of the characters, whom had invaded my sanctuary, was Raynare. So me being the lovely host that I am I reveal myself.

Dom: "Raynare! Welcome back. Who are your guests?"

Raynare: "Oh, Dom! I had decided to bring my ex-squad mates here with me, I hope you don't mind."

Dom: "It's as much your house as it is mine. Though I wish you would've told me, I then could have prepared something for our new guests."

???: "There is no need to do such things Mr..."

Dom: "Dom, Dom Lux Ms."

???: "As in THE Dom Lux! Ahem, sorry, my name is Kalawarner and the small blonde beside me is Mittlet."

Dom: "It's my pleasure Ms Kalawarner and Ms Mittlet. But yes I am, indeed, Dom Lux, please treat me as though I am in the same position as you though."

Kalawarner: "Very well Dom, it's very nice to meet you. I hope we aren't intruding."

Dom: "Not at all. Though I need to ask you three two questions, if you don't mind."

Raynare: "Not at all, ask away."

At this point my face becomes serious, my once calm and natural expression becomes dead. Raynare now becomes worried as I hang my 'Smart Pistol MK 5' over the railing of the walk way and various beeps and clicks are heard as the bullets lock on to the three fallen angels heads.

Dom: "Don't worry, this is only a last resort. Now that we have that straight, Do you three know a fallen angel that goes by the name Dohnaseek?"

Mittlet: "Who are you to question us!?"

I then disable the auto lock and fire a shot off next to Mittlet's head.

Dom: "Now I'm going to stop you there before I have to re-paint my walls with your brain matter. I'll warn you now, I've not had a good day so I'm not feeling lenient. Now I'll ask the question again, do you three know a fallen that goes by the name Dohnaseek?"

Raynare: "Yes we do. What does it mean to you?"

Dom: "Do you know where he is?"

Mittlet: "What is it to you!?"

I now hold the pistol up and act as though I was going to put a lump of lead in the small fallen angel's skull hoping it would scare them enough to make them talk.

Raynare: "Okay, okay, we give up! He's holed up in the old church in Kuoh."

I unsummon my 'Smart Pistol' and start walking away.

Dom: "You didn't actually think I was going to kill any of you, did you?"

---Time Skip---

I've now equipped my conduit powers and Delsin Rowe's signature chain, and am on my way to pay our first target a nice visit. Getting him acquainted with Death should be quick and simple. I approach the old and fairly run down looking church and blast the front doors in with a 'Sulfur Bomb' and casually wander in. I'm then met face to face with the fedora donned fallen angel. He then readies a 'Light Spear' and charges toward me. I unravel the chain from around my forearm, whilst simultaneously dodging Dohnaseek's light spear. I then slam the chain into the back of the fallen angel's head causing him to stumble forward. I instantly smoke dash towards him and slam the palm of my hand into his stomach, then release a 'Lightning Bolt' launching Dohnaseek into the nearest wall. I then switch to 'Video' and fire a 'Blade Storm', aka the upgraded version of 'Bloodthirsty Blades', towads the fallen angel impaling him in multiple different areas, most being vital, causing him to begin bleeding out.

I'm then met with a surprise attack from Freed Sellzen, the stray exorcist, as he slashes his sword down my back. I quickly spin around and whip Freed with the chain disorienting him. Within the time he was dazed I dashed behind him and throw my chain over his head and wrap it around his neck and start choking him out. While doing this I heat the chain up using my smoke abilities, this causes him to start struggling in an attempt to break free from me cauterising his throat closed. So I place both ends of the chain into my right hand and summon a single 'Bloodthirsty Blade' in my left hand, plunging it in through his back and out through his upper abdomen. This causes him to stop struggling temporarily, in that moment I grabbed each end of the chain with either hand and pulled hard. I could hear him start choking as his oesophagus seals closed stopping his ability to breathe. I then proceed to walk out unfazed by the whole ordeal.

---Time Skip---

I arrive back home and I'm greeted by the two women whom had brought me here, Life and Death.

Dom: "It's been a while hasn't it goddesses."

Life: "Indeed it has Dom, We would like to thank you for taking out the first few targets. You have a lot more targets to go but you have made a start."

Death: "We will now also be watching over you, paying you frequent visits and training your gears which you'll soon discover."

Life and Death: "Farewell."

Dom: "I'll see you soon, goddesses."

This brings a close to this rather eventful day

Hey guys and girls, I'm back. I've gotten glasses so now I can actually see what I'm writing. Hopefully I can start updating the book more frequently as opposed to once a week. Which I apologise for, from the bottom of my heart. Also 100 reads, YAY! I can't thank you guys and girls enough for reading this shitty book.
