Last time on This is the Dream
I turn on my heels and walk out of Baras's office with the beautiful twi'lek, Vette in my arms. Now
After leaving Baras's office, I make a bolt towards the shuttle leaving Korriban. The acolytes and other apprentices giving me weird side glances. I sprint though the doors of the shuttle simultaneously screaming "Go!" to the pilot. I feel the shuttle lurch forward and lift up, the engines roar as they loft the hunk of metal off of the sandy desert floor. We reach the orbiting spaceport, I jump out of the shuttle and make a dash towards my starship. I pull 2V up on my holocom.Dom: "2V, prep a med kit I'm bringing a board a very injured twi'lek." I say reaching the lift and slamming my fist on the "down" button.
2V: "Of course master... But why the worry over a single twi'lek?" He asks. I don't know if this is hostile or not but I am not in the mood to care. I reply with one word...
Dom: "Baras." As I say this my anger seethes as that "thing's" name leaves my mouth. After I shut my holocom off and make a dash to my ship. Using the force to open the door before I get there. When I hear the hiss of the door open I pick up speed breaking out into a full on force sprint.
I reach the doors and slow down slightly but still in a rush. I gently step Vette down upon my bed and proceed to use the medkit 2V gave to me to patch Vette up. After about an hour of cleaning wounds soothing burns and force healing Vette, I covered her resting figure with the covers and walked over to the sofa. I sat down contemplating on what I should do to Baras in order to make up for the suffering he's caused. Either way he'll die in the end. After sitting for 10 minutes I get up and walk over to the navigation console in the Fury's cockpit, set course for Tatooine and activated the hyperdrive. On the way there I decide I'd sit and watch over Vette and see if she'd wake up.
2V alerts me that we've arrived. I pull on my cloak and flip the hood over my head and stroll out of my ship and into the terminal. I await instructions from the moff stationed upon this planet. He then told me that Jaesa's previous master lives upon this desert wasteland.
On my way out into the dune sea I get a holocom call from the Fury.
Dom: "hello 2V, what's wrong? Why are you calling me during my mission?" I ask, nervous to find out the reason for the mystery contact.
2V: "Master, Baras has contacted the ship claiming he had tried to get a hold of you to tell you that it is now required for us to travel to Alderman and interrogate Jaesa Willsam's parent as to her current location. If this fails we torture them and use their pain to lure Jaesa. Also your slave has awoken." The mention of the word slave pissed me off.
Dom: "You will eternally refrain from refering to my new companion as a slave. She will be my equal and now you're superior." I say slamming my foot down into the sand, spinning the speeder bike and myself 180° and speeding back towards the flight terminal.
Piloting the speeder through the terminal was tough but upon reaching the hanger doors I de-summon the speeder and force dash into the Fury. Upon reaching my room I see Vette awake and staring at the holoscreen. I knock on the frame, startling her accidentally. She flinches and looks at me, she backs up the bed almost shaking in fear. I feel my face and notice the lower face mask, similar to the one Darth Malgus uses, as well as the hood. The only thing showing are the glowing yellow eyes. I immediately drop the hood and take the mask off. Time to play dumb.
Dom: "Hello miss, my name is Dom Mortem. The apprentice of Lord Baras. I apologise for the absolutely appalling treatment you got for my master and wish to make up for the mistakes of that brutal, idiotic, oaf." I say adding a bow at the end of my statement. At this Vette starts to calm down, her breathing slows and her body relaxes.
Vette: "Hello Dom, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Vette." She said shyly... This I very out of character for her, she's normally very peppy and up beat until... certain events where she can become very flustered sometimes.
Dom: "After you've recovered feel free to do what you want. For now I suggest you stay in the Fury and rest and recover. I'm lucky I got to you when I did. Any longer and you would've suffered the same fate most of Baras's victims do." I say with a very dark expression.
Vette: "You're not like most sith are you? Most sith hate people like us, that's why tw-" she says before I interrupt her.
Dom: "Why twi'lek's are forced into slavery. Yes I'm fully aware of this issue and intend to put an end to it. Aliens... No other species out in the galaxy deserve just as equal of a chance at living a good life as us humans do." I say. A small smile makes it's way upon the twi'lek's face, bringing one to my own
Vette: "You and I will be good partners. As long as you want to have me around." She says the last bit quieter and quieter each word ending in an almost whisper.
Dom: "Now why wouldn't I have you around?" I say making my new partner burst into a full-blown smile. "Now you get some rest. I'll wake you when we reach Alderaan." I say walking out of there room closing the door behind me.
One crew-mate down four more to go.
