One day in September(Severus Snape love story)

10. Veritaserum

Tales of Beedle the Bard. My favourite book of all the time. Albus told me that he has it and borrowed it to me. I loved to read.
When I finished reading, I went to his office to give it back to Albus. In front of the office was no other than - Peeves.
"Well well, look who's here..." He said.
"What do you want, Peeves?" I asked him. "Oh, nothing...Did your daddy yell at you again, Adrianna?" He said. I was shocked. "Confess...I won't tell anybody...EXCEPT EVERYONE!! Hahahahah!!" I was angry and sad at the same time.
"Peeves, what for the Merlin's sake are you doing?" Albus showed up and asked.
"Professor....Ummm....I was just...telling Professor Lexington a joke...I swear, I didn't...." Albus was very angry. "Mention her private problems once again, Peeves, and it will be last thing you will ever say." Albus said. "Come on, Adrianna. Let's talk." He led me to his office.
"Thank you for borrowing me the book. I really loved it as a child..." I said.
"Peeves has made you sad?" He asked.
"No, not sad. Angry." He smiled. "He can be irritant sometimes." I smirked and we kept talking about my family, class and everything. I was pretending everything is okay.
When I came to my room, I was realizing something. Only Severus knew what happened that day. And he promised he won't tell anybody. I broke down. I felt like there was no one who could I ever trust. I was crying in my pillow and was in big depression.
Clearly, I made a mistake about him. He isn't a man who someone could trust.
I started sobbing because I felt like crap and like I'm the most miserable person on Earth.
Why, Severus? Why you?

I heard someone is coming close to my door. After that, that someone was knocking. It was him...
"Why are you crying?" Severus asked.
"You know exactly why!" I said through tears.
"No, I don't and I will be very pleased if you tell me..." I hated the way how he can act like nothing happened. "If you can't figure out that you are one who's fault is that I'm crying, I don't know who can!" I was sobbing very much.
"Adrianna, I don't understand...please, tell me..." He said.
"How could you tell PEEVES about my private problems after I have fully trusted you that you won't tell anybody?!" I was yelling.
"What..Why would I tell him aboout that? I don't even speak to him..." He said, obviously surprised.
"And I should believe you now?!" I was so angry at him.
"You don't have any reason to not believe me...I haven't said anything to that dunderhead." He was trying to convince me.
"Severus, please...I think it will be better for both of us that we just keep distance beetween each other...Now, please get out." I said, and he left without any word.
I stopped crying because I had to go to the dinner. I must go to see Albus before dinner to tell him that I must sit somewhere else because I couldn't sit next to Severus.
"Albus, I need to tell you something..." I said.
"Adrianna, my dear...alright, I'm listening." He said.
"Could I sit somewhere else on the dinner? I have my reasons..." He smiled. "I'm afraid it couldn't be possible. I could do something, but, I've already got one request which was asking me if you ask that from me, I should not do it. Someone obviously likes your presence, and it's not Hagrid..." He winked. I smiled a bit. "Adrianna, I know what happened, and, if I could say something, I know Severus wouldn't say that to anybody. Peeves did never speak to Severus because he is scared of him." I smiled. "Thank you, Headmaster." I left his office and went to dinner.
"I have a feeling we need to talk..." Severus said. I nodded. "After dinner..." He said and the dinner began.

After dinner...(Severus's P.O.V.)
I felt some strange feeling, I felt actually guilty because she was crying...
"What's the problem?" I asked her. "Peeves was teasing me about my family. In front of the Headmaster's office." I said.
"Why did you thought I said that to him?" I wanted to know why she didn't trust me.
"Well...you were the only one who knows, besides me." I said.
"Adrianna...I didn't say anything to him, I swear..." She looked at me. "In case you wouldn't believe me, I brought this." I pulled out small bottle out of my pocket. "Do you know what this is?" I asked her. "The truth serum. Severus, you don't have to..." She didn't managed to finish the sentence, and I swished with my wand and a cup of tea appeared on the table.

Adrianna's P.O.V.
I couldn't believe that this is happening. He has put two drops of the truth serum in the cup and drank it.
"You wanted the truth. Ask." He said.
I took myself few seconds to think, and then asked him. "Have you said anything about my family to anyone?" My question echoed through the classroom.
"I would never do such thing." He said. "And why? Why do you care so much? I mean, you are Severus Snape. You have never talked that much to anyone besides me. Why?" I obviously didn't thought before asking that question.
"Because....I love you." I was surprised. Was that really a truth serum? I was so like I would never imagine him saying that to me, like never.
"Excuse me?" I was confused and surprised.
"I love you, Adrianna." He smiled. If I weren't till now, I definetely started blushing.
"Now, I would appreciate if we would go out of there...It's getting late." I nodded, and started to go to my room. "Good night, Severus..." I smiled to him. "Good night..." He smiled back.

Later(somewhen after midnight)
I couldn't sleep so I started to think about what happened recently.
What the hell was that? Severus drank truth serum and he said he loves me?! Everything was so unreal to me. What is happening?!? I was in shock because I definetely didn't expect hearing that from him. 'Someone obviously likes your presence, and it's not Hagrid...' I remembered Albus's words. I'm speechless. In that thoughts, I fell asleep...

A/N: Finally!! This is not 'more often' that I thought, and I will try to do it even more often.
