13. What now?

In the middle of the night, I was sleeping in my room, alone. Suddenly, I heard knocks full of panic on my door. "Adrianna, please wake up!" I heard Minerva yelling. "I'm coming!" I yelled back to her and she waited a second. "Minerva, what's going on?" I asked her, sleepy and confused.

"My dear, Voldemort is back. And he captured your mother" She said. "Where is he?" I asked her. "At the castle grounds" I started running down the castle when I finally made it to the castle grounds.

"I challenge you, Adrianna Lexington!!! Come down if you can!" He yelled and started laughing. "Please, don't kill her!!" My mother begged him. It was so heartbreaking to see her like that, weak and in tears. "Shut up, mudblood!!" He yelled and scared her. She gasped and started sobbing. "Adrianna, my dearest" She spoke to me. When Voldemort heard her saying my name and speaking to me, he turned around.

"Adrianna, I heard so much about you..." He said and I raised my eyebrow. "Don't even speak to my daughter!" My mother yelled. He looked at her with a hateful look. "Shut up or I will kill you!" I looked at him. "Let her go. She has nothing with this" He laughed. "Oh, you think I'm stupid or that I don't know you will run away, too?" He asked. Without hesitation, I tried to attack him with Expelliarmus. He fought back with Avada Kedavra. "If I win, I will kill her!" He yelled. "Mom, run!!" I screamed to her. "Wormtail!" He called his servant, and signalized him to keep her here. He kept his wand on her neck.

Suddenly, when we were fighting literally for life, I let go and he almost fell down. I was pretty weak, but I had to fight for my beloved mother's life. He didn't attack, so I tried to do Killing curse on him, but he turned around and defended. "You should never attack from behind...That's cheating, dear, which means I won. And if I remember clearly, I have to do this" He said and pointed his wand in my mother.

"NOOO!!!" I screamed, but he just grinned. "AVADA KEDAVRA!!!" I broke down. "Mother!!!" I yelled and runned next to her, hugging her dead body. I was crying so much. Severus came next to me. Albus and Minerva were behind us. "It's my fault that you are dead...I love you so much, mom..." I said through tears full of pain. Severus hugged me. "She's dead, Severus" I said. He just looked at me.

Severus's P.O.V.

It felt so heartbreaking to watch this. She was shaking and crying for her dead mother. "Severus" She called my name. "Yes, my dear?" Another tear fell from her eye. "It hurts so much" She said. "I know, love." That's all I could. Be there for her.

Adrianna's P.O.V.

Voldemort just left. Without a word. "You can run how much you want, Voldemort, but I will find you and you will be dead!" I yelled while he apparated. "I have to bury her." I said when I calmed down. "Of course you have. There is a beautiful place under that tree, near the lake." Albus said. I nodded. When I made the hole with a shovel that I created with my wand, I also created a funerary monument and wrote this on it:

Lorraine Lexington Malfoy

1952. - 1994.

"Rest in peace, my angel!" I said and picked the nearby rose. "You loved roses" I remembered when I drew her a rose for Mother's day and wrote her a letter. I smiled. "My love, are you alright?" Severus asked. I nodded. "I know what you're coming through right now" He said. "She was very beautiful" I said. "Then I know why you are so beautiful." I smiled and he kissed me. "I love you." I said. "I love you too." We looked at the lake for a second and it started raining. As I didn't have something to cover myself because of the cold wind blowing, Severus gave me his cloak and we came to the castle. We just walked in silence to his room.

"I want you to know that you're not alone." He said and hugged me. "I see the cloak did it's purpose...you aren't cold anymore." I smiled. "It smells like you." I said with a smile. He smiled too. "What time is it?" I asked and yawned, "04:30." He answered and gave me a vial. "What is this?" I asked because I didn't know what type of potion is it. "It's a Dreamless sleep potion. It will give you sleep without dreaming anything." I drank the potion and laid down. Soon, I fell in the peaceful sleep.

First class - 0800AM(DADA classroom)

"Where is she? It's almost fifteen minutes ago that class started." Ron asked. "I don't know. My scar hurt last night. I saw Voldemort killing someone at the castle grounds in my dream." Harry said. "Maybe he killed Professor Lexington" Hermione said. "Shut up, McGonagall is coming!!" Ron said. He heard her voice. "Tonight nobody will have Defence Against the Dark Arts class! Professor Lexington...doesn't feel good. They weren't happy, they were worried for her. Especially Draco

Adrianna's P.O.V.

When I woke up, I realized that I'm late for my class. I met Sybill on my way. "My dear, I'm so sorry for your loss" I smiled "Thank you." Minerva was coming from my classroom. "Adrianna, I cancelled your lessons for today...Albus told me to do that. You know him, always worried for us" I smiled. "Thank you, and him, too. I'm not sure if I could teach today." She smiled and hugged me. "Never lose hope, my dear...Everything will be alright." She said. Then. I saw my father walking to me. Oh shit...He doesn't know about mother's death. He was very formal. He is still mad on me because I took Lucius's side in the argument. "Adrianna, do you know where is your mother? I'm looking for her whole morning." Holy Merlin...What now?
