So I found out about this guy at the Medi.M.U.N. workshop in November. Delegate of Bolivia. I didn't really notice him until he came up to ask me about the mock resolution/debate, though. "Did you like our reso.?" he asked. "Yes, however the speeches against won me over", I answered. He then popped up in my Suggested Users list on Instagram, so I clicked on his page to see his posts. On one post he was pictured behind a microphone, his long-ish curly hair tidied in a man-bun, and facing down. "A singer." I thought to myself. I kept on scrolling, and that's when I saw the brightest smile ever. That's when I really started to think about him. That's when I clicked the follow button. Weeks go by, I think about him now and again, and the days of the real Conference from the 8th-10th February are approaching. On the 1st day of Medi.M.U.N. I searched for his cute face from the minute we walked into the University. In the opening ceremony, a choir presented itself to the GAs. And there he was. The Delegate of Bolivia, amongst about another 20 singers. He looked so passionate on that stage. After, we made our way to our GA rooms. The first room we found ourselves in was quite squashed. Within the very 1st 10 minutes I'd managed to make eye contact with him and give him a quick smile. Ah. He was his group's main submitter. Very brave, if I say so myself. I never could've done that. On day 2 I woke up thinking about him. There was a thing called a "Confessions Box" in every GA, and we, as delegates, were free to write whatever we wanted on a piece of paper and pop it into the box. On one occasion I confessed: "Unconditional heart-eyes for the delegate of Bolivia. He has the brightest smile." I went into the conference convinced I wasn't prepared to talk. But as soon as I found out my crush was the main submitter? I was UP. We made eye contact for at least 20 seconds, and where he couldn't even remember me making a point of information, that third of a minute meant everything to me. And I fucked up by calling him the delegate of Liberia. Day 3 was a little bit painful. It was a rainy day, and I was prepared for him to leave the conference with no idea who I even was. But nope, that's not what happened. During one of the breaks I, as well as two of my other friends who I met at EYP approached him and his friend Androniki, who was also at EYP to "Take a picture for Alexandros." Ah, the closest I'd ever got to him. The end of the break was coming to an end, and Androniki and him asked me to take photos of them once the others had left. It was nice to be near him, although I wasn't the one featuring in the picture with him. I'm not really complaining, I'm not the most photogenic peep ever anyways. "I heard from somewhere that you sing!?" I asked him, "Omg yeah, you sing as well, don't you?" He replied, "Yeah she sings reeeally well actually!" Androniki added. I never properly said bye to him once Medi.M.U.N. was over, but I sure did think about him. And I sure did text him the very next day. I asked him to send me a video of him singing, which he did. He's amazing. He asked for a video of me singing, which I sent him, and which he liked. On Valentine's day I confessed to him that the "Brightest smile" confession was from I, the Delegate of Peru, which he took absolutely fine.
