A Reunion; Kairi

You leapt onto the other bed, hugging the girl tightly

"Kairi! Haha I found you!" Your eyes watered as you clung to the girls body

"Huh?" You pulled away to see her still asleep, your heart breaking when you realized she wasn't waking up

"H-Hey! Its okay, im here now!...Kairi..wake up.." you put your head down as tears threatened to spill "I wanted to tell you, that I-...that I..." you gulped, trying to find the words as you stared at her angelic face. You've wanted to be with her for so long, and when you finally have her...she slips away.

"She won't wake up." A familiar voice called from behind you, making your head snap toward the door to the room

"R-Riku?" You gasped in disbelief and he shot you a smile before it dropped and he walked over to you

"You lied." His statement shocked you

"Lied? About what?" You asked as you began to get nervous "You've been to other worlds before... Y/n."

He knew. But how? What does he know? "Riku...I couldn't remember before..." you said lamely as you looked at your feet

He put a finger under your jaw and made your eyes meet his "Its okay. I know you forgot. But you remember now. Kairi's heart is missing, and you have the power to get it back."

You felt like all the air left your lungs, your heart began racing "But...Kairi lost her heart? No. No...how..?"You stumbled over your words as a wave of emotions came over you. She was the most important person to you, and you failed to protect her.

"Y/n. All you have to do is give Kairi her heart back." Riku said soothingly as he grabbed your shoulders "Then we can all go home."

You shook your head and shoved him away "I don't know how to get her heart back!" You yelled at him

"You're lying! She says you know and she hasn't been wrong before!" He yelled back and you stepped away from him "Why wont you give her heart back?" He said a bit more calmly, trying to control his emotions

You covered your ears and shook your head "I DONT KNOW HOW!" He began to get irritated again but before he could speak the door opened and a man wearing some crazy red outfit with a hook for a hand entered the room. "The boy is here." He said and Riku nodded as some heartless appeared and picked Kairi up, tearing her from your grasp

"No! Kairi!..." the realization of Riku summoning the heartless hit you.

"Heartless?" You gave Riku a sad look "Riku...what happened to you?"

He went quiet before he took your arm "come on.." he mumbled before taking you out of the room

"I didn't think you would come." He said and you tried to crane your neck to see who Riku was talking to

"Riku! Where are donald and goofy?!" A familiar voice yelled causing your eyes to widen 'Sora?' You questioned in your head as Riku scoffed before shaking his head

"Are they really that important to you? More important than old friends?" He asked before clenching his fists

"Instead of asking about them, you should be asking..about them." Riku stepped aside to reveal both you and Kairi

"Hisa! Kairi!" Sora called out as he ran to you before the strange man with the hook for a hand put his hook in front of Sora's face. "They'll be no shenanigans aboard my vessel boy." He hissed at Sora

"Hisa?" Riku began to laugh mockingly at Sora "really? You don't even know. You see, while you were busy playing with your new keyblade and your new friends, I searched everywhere to find Kairi and Hisa..I did everything I could, even finding out who Hisa really is." Riku pulled you up by your arm "This is Y/n, Sora. She's a keyblade wielder too. Except she's from the past. You see, shes seen other worlds befe." Riku said cockily as Sora stared at you

Sora turned his gaze from you and back to Riku "Why are you siding with the heartless?!"

"The heartless obey me now, Sora. Now I have nothing to fear." Riku said calmly as Sora seemed to visibly shake with rage "You're stupid! Eventually they'll swallow your heart!"

Riku shook his head, his cocky look never leaving his face. "Not a chance. My heart's too strong....oh, I've even picked up some new tricks.." he held up his hand and a shadow rose from the ground in front of him, the shadow too the shape of Sora.

"You can see your friends now." A trap door opened under Sora's feat and he disappeared from your sight

"No! Sora!" You stood up but Riku was quick yo grab your arm, Keeping you in place. "Keep Sora away from Kairi and Y/n until we land."

He shoved you off towards a heartless who brought you and Kairi to a cell. it shoved you both inside and slammed the door before locking it. You immediately crawled over to Kairi

"Don't worry Kairi, I'll keep you safe!" You promised with a small smile as you hugged her

"Hello.." a girl's voice spoked and you looked over to see a girl in a pretty blue dress. "My name is Wendy." She introduced herself

"I'm Y/n, it's nice to meet you." You smiled and she returned one before looking to Kairi

"Is she alright?" She asked and you frowned "I don't know.." you said truthfully as you took Kairi's hand in yours. 

A boys voice could be heard in the distance, and Wendy seemed to brighten. She crawled over to this area in the floor where you could see the room down below "Peter? Peter Pan?" She asked and a boy came into your view. He had orange hair and wore green, he was flying!

"Wendy! Wendy don't worry, I'll get you out!" He said as a familiar voice spoke up "Hey Wendy? Are there other girls in there with you?" He asked and you moved over to where he was

"Sora!" You smiled as you saw him and he smiled back "Y/n! Don't worry, I'm coming for you and Kairi." He said and you nodded but frowned "something's wrong with Kairi..she won't wake up.." You said looking down

"Hey! Stop that, It's not your fault." He said causing you to smile at him. Before you could say anything else, the door slammed open and Heartless grabbed the three of you, dragging you away "Sora!"
You yelled out as you tried to get away from them, you could hear Sora calling out to you as you were pulled away.

Wendy was separated from you and Kairi, the two of you were pulled back to the room you woke up in.

"Get lost!" You summoned your keyblade and destroyed the heartless that was holding onto you. You turned to swing at the one holding kairi but your blade was met with another, this one was dark red and blue and had the shape like the wing of a bat. Your eyes went from the weapon up to the person holding it to see Riku, staring at you.

"What are you doing Y/n?" He asked, not pulling his weapon away.

"Kairi and I, We're not going with you."

"Where with you go? With Sora?" Riku asked scoffing before his face fell "what makes him so special?!"
He hissed, his voice laced with jealousy

"Riku, you're delusional! You're on the wrong side! We're you're friends, come with us!"

He laughed in disbelief "delusional? You're the one who's delusional! He's replaced us— I won't let him take you and Kairi from me!"

He pulled back, only to swing at you again, you blocked but the force made you stumble a bit

"Riku..." you frowned and got in a fighting stance, ready to give everything you have to protect Kairi.

*Riku pov*
She fell to the ground, her Keyblade vanishing. I sighed and picked her up so one of my arms was under her knees and the other under her upper back

"I wish you would understand that I'm doing this for you and Kairi..." I looked down at her peaceful expression and I almost smiled

I had spent so long trying to find her and now, here she was. She hasn't changed at all. I summoned a heartless to pick up Kairi, the sound of a door opening caught my attention.

Sora's gaze fell to Y/n in my arms and he looked panicked "No! Riku please wait!" He begged but I opened a portal, me and the heartless carrying Kairi stepped through, my only thoughts were of Kairi and Y/n.
