Family Day?

Jesse's P.O.V

I headed to the hall to tell the Few the plan of action. While I was flying there, something hit me... quite literally. I fell to the ground. The impact created a crater in the ground. I looked to see who it was and I saw Eddie trying to stabilize himself.

I chuckled and flew back up to him. I pushed a button on the side of his helmet and his suit retracted. Eddie looked frightened as he fell to Earth. I flew down and caught him just before he hit the ground... which means I got to drop him in my crater.

He looked up at me annoyed and yelled, "What the hell Jess?! I was coming to tell you that Cadenza, Laurence, and Travis won't be able to make it to the meeting. They said something about, and I quote 'Family Day. And if Jess doesn't show up Katelyn will go ballistic!'"

I sighed. I completely forgot. We have a family day once a year. I never had a family show up, so I always felt awkward. But now, I could have a family show up. I looked at Eddie and said, "Tell the team they get the day off. We're going to Family Day!"

One hour later at Stark Tower

My parents (Thor and Irene), Eddie, my kids, and Eddie's family (Tony, Pepper, and his sister Morgan a.k.a M) are at Stark Tower. Dad and mom are in normal people clothes, which was hard to achieve, and we got M to come be social, which she will only do for me.

We all headed down to Tony's garage and got in our designated vehicles. Eddie, M, and I were on our motorcycles, Eddie and I each had a kids with us, and the parents were all in one of Tony's cars. We all pulled out and headed to Mystreet, which is only about 20 minutes away from the city.

We pulled into my driveway. I told them that I had to go grab something and they can come in if they want. Eddie followed me into my house. I went up to my room and got my phone, which was fully charged. I unlocked it and texted Katelyn to ask were family day was this year and if I need to bring anything.

She responded a couple of minutes later that it was down the street and that if I wanted I could bring something. I smirked and went into my closet. I pushed behind all the boxes and opened my mini fridge. I pulled out all of the alcohol that was in there. I walked out to see Eddie frowning at the downturned picture on my side table.

He heard me coming and looked back at me. He noticed the like, 15 bottles of alcohol I was carrying. He came over and grabbed some while laughing. I frowned at him and asked, "Why are you laughing at me? This is only my month's supply!"

He just shook his head and said, "You are the best. Now, where are we going?"

"Down the street, let's go before we are late!" I exclaim heading outside. The moms look over at me and scoul while the dads and M all laugh. The kids just looked confused. I yell, "GOD! You're all as bad as Eddie! This is just my month's supply now let's go before Katelyn murders me!"

I start heading down the street. Down by Aaron's, Zane's, and Lucinda's houses I see a sign saying Party in the Backyards! I laugh to myself and lead them back. Before we reach the party I say, "No embarrassing me, please! I am not in the best place with them right now after all my lies."

They all say in unison, "We promise that we will not embarrass you." I smile gratefully and walk forward. I had Tony hack into the music system and play Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC. Everyone stopped and looked over at us. I had teleported the drinks onto one of the tables so we could all look super cool and pose like superheroes.

Before I knew it, I was encased in a group hug. I gasped and yelled out, "Guys! I love y'all, BUT I CAN'T BREATHE!!!!"

Everyone pulled away and looked behind me to see my family. Zane asked, "Who are they?"

"Well, let me introduce you to my family!" I told them. I turned to my family and said, "When I call your name step forward," I turned over to my friends and said, "Same goes for you. Now my family. First off, you guys know Eddie already and my adopted kids. Now, my mom and dad, Tom and Irena, they are a little off but I love them. Now Eddie's side of the family. His parents, Tony Stark and Pepper Potts Stark. And Eddie's sister, Morgan Stark."

"Nice to meet you. Sorry if we got off on the wrong foot with any of you at any point in time," Lucinda said.

"It's quite alright dear. Now Jessica please introduce your friends," Pepper said.

"Alright. First, off we have my roommates Katelyn the Fire Fists and Kawaii~Chan. Kc is the Meifwa with pink hair and Katelyn is the hot-headed blue haired chick. Next, we have Garroth, Laurence, Dante, and Travis. They live across the street from me. There are Cadenza and Vlyad, they stay in our basement a lot of the time. Next is Lucinda, she is my best witch friend. And last we have Zane and Aaron. They both look menacing, but they are both softies that I force to watch Frozen with me," I told my family.

"Nice to meet you guy, sorry that Jess has been torturing you for five years straight," Tony tells my friends.

"It's okay. She is the reason that we are all still friends. We owe her our friendship," Aaron told my family.

We spent the day talking and having a good time. I got to spend more time with my family and friends which is amazing. Mom, Pepper, and Zianna (Garroth, Zane, and Vlyads' mom) are getting along very well. Dad, Tony, and Eric (Katelyn's dad) are also getting along very well. Eddie, Zane, and Aaron are kinda getting along. And Morgan is making friends with Kacy (Katelyn's brother) and Vylad. My kids are just running around like little kids do, which is nice.

Towards the end of the day, we were all dancing to the music when we're interrupted by someone. The music suddenly stopped and mist fills the backyards. Tony and Eddie suit up. Pepper, Morgan, and I get out our guns and are ready to shoot. The mist clears to reveal everyone's least favorite uncle. Loki. He looks at me and gives his signature evil grin. I motion for Tony to get everyone out. I look out of the corner of my eye to see everyone clearing out. Katelyn and Vlylad have my kids and are taking them. Eddie summons the Few. They show up in full armor. I change into my armor and put my gun away. I hold Mjolnir tightly in my hands.

"I see that you have done the one thing that you promised not to do niece. You went back to the Few. Now, give me Mjiolner," he says in a commanding tone. It is so persuasive and I almost want to do what he says. He sees me struggling and smirks. He turns to the few and my family and says, "Kneel." They struggle. I can see the energy they put in the sweat is dripping off their foreheads and they have a determined look on their faces. But, they all eventually kneel out of exhaustion.

Loki turns back to me and tells me to go over to him. I can hear my family yelling for me to not listen to him, but I ignore my family. His voice is so compelling, I just have to listen. I give my family one last small smile, tears streaming down down my face. I can see that their faces are not only wet with sweat but tears as well. I slowly walk over to Loki, still trying to fight his command. He grabs my arm and with one final evil smirk, I can feel us teleport away.
