"I Quit"

Next day at the Queen Consolidated

Oliver was sitting on the couch in the lobby, talking to tommy his childhood brother-like friend; when felicity walks into the office, and without noticing oliver she heads to the elevator.
Oliver after noticing her, keeps watching at her as she walks; "Ollie, does she knows?" tommy questioned oliver who was still admiring felicity

"who knows what?" Oliver nervously  said 
"that girl, whom you were just checking out.... or shall i call starring lustfully?" tommy replies with a smile 
"Tommy.. you know she is not my type" oliver says with a laugh, "i was just checking her out"
"yeah dude.. i know that look.." Tommy said 
"Shut up...tommy" oliver nodded
"Ollie look, you are my best friend.. and i know this is not just you checking her out... okay" tommy said putting arm around oliver, "i hope you tell her very soon" he further added
"well.. thats not gonna happen, because its nothing like that" oliver said 
"now... i gotta attend an important meeting, i will see you later Tommy..." Oliver said standing by looking at felicity enter into elevator.

"Hey, hold that for me" Oliver said running to the elevator in which felicity had entered 
"Oh.. Morning Ms. Smoak" Oliver said pretending that he didn't knew that she was in the same elevator
"Good morning Mr. Queen" felicity said with seriousness 
they both waited quit till everyone in the elevator had got out and being having departments on same floor, had them were left alone in the elevator.
Felicity was nervous being alone with his rude but incredibly hot looking boss, and wanted to get out as soon as possible.

"have a nice day Mr. Queen" felicity finally broke the silence, and politely wished his boss before getting out of the elevator.
Oliver followed felicity to her department, "whats the progress of my job?" oliver questioned walking into her department
"oh, you will get it done by the end of this day Mr. Queen" Felicity said with a fake smile, and oliver replied with a smile, "Good!" and turned around to walk out, when felicity stopped him, with the idea of informing him about her resignation,"Mr. Queen..." 
"Yes.. Ms. Smoak" Oliver said turning towards Felicity
"No.. never mind" felicity said denying the idea
"Is there any problem?" oliver said walking to her 
"oh no.. its nothing... its just... i--wanted to tell you that your security system will be ready soon" Felicity babbled
"Okay.." oliver said with a nod and walked out of felicity's cabin

Felicity worked really hard that day, even skipping lunch break, so that she could finish the security system job that day and give her resignation to oliver.

Later that day..

"Good evening Mr. Queen..." Felicity greeted oliver by opening the glass door of his cabin
"Ms. Smoak... come in" Oliver welcomed felicity
"Mr. Queen... I have completed your job... here is the hard disk..." Felicity said placing the hard drive on oliver's table, she added further, "you can check... and incase any problem.. you can contact me..." 

"Thank you very much.. Ms. Smoak, and i will check tonight and let you know by tomorrow..." Oliver said with a smile
"No not tomorrow Mr. Queen..." Felicity said firmly
"Why not...?" Oliver curiously asked, "are you taking break Ms. Smoak? if yes than you may-....." Oliver stopped, when felicity interrupted, "oh no.. not break Mr. Queen..."
"I Quit" felicity said nervously, "here is my resignation" she added by placing resignation letter on oliver's desk
"what??" oliver said standing up from his chair, "no you cant do that!" he added furiously
"well.. i just did!" felicity said firmly, "Good bye Mr. Queen.. it was great pleasure working with you" Felicity added before turning around and walking away
"Hey.. you cant quit like this..." Oliver said running behind her
"Well.. if you haven't heard me before Mr. Queen, i already did.. you will find someone better me..." felicity said stopping, with a fake smile 
"No i wont!" oliver said "i mean, i know i wont find someone smart like you" he added
"You will Mr. Queen, atleast you can bear all your aggressiveness" she added before continued she continued walking
"Hey- hey.... you cant just leave this way; There are rules felicity.... you cant quit like this..." Oliver said grabbing felicity's arm 
"Well... i dont care for rules... i quit and i dont wanna see your face ever again in my life" felicity said angrily with tears gathered in her eyes 
"Felicity....." oliver said raising her voice, and also tightening his grip on her arm, which caused felicity pain, "Leave me alone... you are hurting me.. Oliver!" felicity said angrily, by raising her voice, as tears rolled from her eyes 
"Oliver.. man.. you are hurting her" diggle said approaching quickly to them, after hearing their voice, and oliver notices his grip on felicity's arm and releases it, "i'm so sorry Ms. smoak" oliver said lowering his voice
"Keep your sorry to your self!" felicity said sobbing before walking away

Later that evening...

Oliver just couldn't forget that he made felicity cry that day, and it made him guilty that all he did was to protect her from suffering pain and in that process he made her cry. He was sure felicity would not be okay that night, henceforth he cancelled his mission that night, and decided to check on felicity.

On the other hand, felicity was sitting in the darkness, in her room, near the window and crying thinking about everything, he loved that job but had to leave because of oliver's behavior towards her, but that wasn't the only thing that caused her pain;  the fact that she did everything oliver asked her to do yet he never praised her, but only yelled at her.

"Felicity..." Oliver dressed as hood, said in a robotic voice standing near the balcony door
Felicity quickly wiped her face with her hand palms, and oliver noticed it,
"are you okay??" oliver questioned, taking a step closer 
"yeah, i'm fine..." Felicity without turning towards him, answered softly in a cracked voice, that signified that she was crying
"You dont look like..." Oliver added further, "did anything happen?" but felicity didnt say a word, and oliver added, "you can talk to me..."
"i am not in a mood right now..." felicity softly answered with her head buried in her lap
"okay than.. i'll just will wait here, till you feel okay" oliver said firmly

After several minutes of silence, and realizing that oliver haven't left, felicity finally broke the silence"Well... i quit my job today" Felicity spoke 
"Why did you do that?" oliver questioned 
"Well, my boss.. i don't know what to say..." felicity continued 
"he is just rude... no matter how much i do, he just doesn't care... he is just so annoying....." and felicity explained everything to oliver who was in hood, not knowing that she was talking to oliver about him
"well.. i am sure he had his reasons" oliver said after felicity was done explaining the whole situations , "i think you should give him another chance" he added
"Chance?? i don't even wanna see his face.." she added angrily, "but i know he will definitely try to convince me..." she added
"if he does, just give him a chance... talk to him... i'm he will explain" oliver said, "if not, let me know.. i will put an arrow throw him" he added humorously 
"Oh well.. sure" felicity said with a soft smile

"well..  i dont know, who you are.. but i am sure.. some day you will tell me...." felicity said after a pause, walking towards oliver, and oliver took a step back, "dont worry.. i wont take your hood off.... " felicity said standing closely to oliver, who was standing in the darkness, and putting her arms around him she added, "and.. thank you for being here for me!"
oliver slowly put his one arm behind her and that made felicity silently smile 

At this moment felicity felt safe, maybe he was an stranger to her in those circumstances, but somewhere deep down she knew it was someone she knows...
