"Aw my little kitten is tired." Taehyung cooed. He gently laid her down on the bed and walked out of the room. For once in a long time, he felt happy, genuinely happy. He wanted to get everything settled before she woke up. He took out his phone and began to dial a number, then paused. He was getting ahead of himself. He didn't want to make it seem like he owned her, but at the same time it was the only way. Humans were very scarce and usually if one was found, they would either be killed on sight or given a collar and made a pet or sex slave. Either way, it would be safer if Y/n had one anyway, no one was allowed to touch her if she did. In a way, it was her ticket to safety. He had to do this. He pressed the dial button on his phone and waited for the other line to pick up.
" This is the Hybrid Services Office, how may I help you?" The bubbly receptionist on the other end answered
"Hello, I'd like to schedule an appointment with the adoption clinic." Taehyung responded
"Certainly, may I know the breed you are interested in adopting?"
"Human."
Taehyung didn't know what kind of hybrid the receptionist on the other end was, but he heard her low growling.
"Human?" Her voice was now icy
"Yes." Taehyung replied just as coldly.
" I'm sorry," the woman spoke with fake sympahy, "We do not have any humans right now."
"It's all right. I don't need one from the kennel. I found my own." Taehyung retorted
"Oh how lovely." The receptionist snickered
"Yes, I thought so too." Taehyung smirked, knowing he was annoying the woman.
"Listen, sir." She snapped disrespectfully, "We don't serve hybrids like you who sympathize with creatures like that."
"I see." Taehyung arched his eyebrow. Then he sighed.
"Well, thanks anyway. But if you see a worker named Jung Hoseok, will you tell him his friend Kim Taehyung says hi."
The line went quiet.
" K-kim T-Taehyung?" the receptionist stuttered. Taehyung smirked knowing that the woman had an instant attitude makeover just after hearing his infamous name.
"Yes, Kim Taehyung."
"I-I'm so sorry Mr. Kim! I didn't know it was you!" She apologized quickly.
"Did you really have to?" He questioned in an attempt to make her flustered. Oh how the tables had turned.
"N-No I-I'm sorry. What time would you like your appointment?" She squeaked.
That's more like it.
"Hey, Y/n wake up."
You could feel Taehyung shaking your shoulder, but you didn't want to get out of bed.
"Five more minutes, please." You groaned. You could hear Taehyung chuckle softly.
"I really wish I could do that for you, but we have to be somewhere in twenty minutes and you aren't even dressed yet."
You sat up and looked at him with curiosity.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see." Taehyung smiled, "Here, wear this. And if your still sleepy, you can sleep in the car."
You took the outfit and looked it over. It looked really cute. You had never had something like this before.
"Thank you." You said
"Of course." Taehyung nodded and walked out of the room so you could change. Taht's when you noticed something strange. You weren't wearing your clothes. Instead, you wearing and over sized shirt. Taehyung must have changed your clothes. You'll have to ask him about it later, but you were super excited to see how your new one looked on you.
You looked in the mirror and admired the soft, pink sweater. You loved it. You walked over and opened the door revealing a waiting Taehyung.
"It looks nice." Taehyung approved, his tail swinging back in forth to a happy pace.
"Thank you!"
"Here." He handed her a shoe box, "I hope these work for now."
You gratefully accepted the black flats and put them on.
"Ok we are all ready." Taehyung smiled cheekily as he grabbed her hand and lead her down the halls.
You looked out the window to the world you had spent six years living underneath. It looked normal. It was like how the humans were before the takeover and how the hybrids look now. Not a human in sight. Everyone had tails and ears, but everything seemed normal. You saw hybrid kids in uniforms going into a cafe after school. You saw a mother pushing her baby in a stroller. It was like before, but different.
They'd been in the car for a good ten minutes, when the driver pulled up to the front of a building.
"We've arrived, Sir."
"All right thank you, Max. Wait here for us to come out."
"Yes, sir."
"Come, Y/n." You followed him out of the car. We entered the building and Taehyung walked straight up to the desk.
"Appointment for Kim Taehyung." He said abruptly. The woman looked shocked and scared all at once. Her little kitten ears twitched.
"Yes sir. Right this way." She bowed and passed him some papers. "Please fill this out and return them here."
"Okay. Come on, Y/n let's sit."
He led her over to the small waiting area and sat her in a chair beside him. All was quiet except for the quick typing from the receptionist at her computer, and the soft gurgles coming from the fish tank. Every now and then you would see the woman at the desk look up and frown at you as if she didn't know what to think about you. You glanced to your right to see Taehyung busy filling out the forms he was passed.
"Psst." You trued to get his attention.
"Yes, Y/n?"
"Why are we here?"
Taehyung smiled and answered.
"We are at the adoption center."
Now you were confused.
"The adoption center? Why?"
"Because," Taehyung looked me deep in the eyes, "I'm going to adopt you, kitten."
That left you shooketh.
This is unedited! Sorry!
