The Kim Mansion was a residing monument of tranquility in the community and was the subject of both awe and envy alike. Two separate gardens flanked it on its western and eastern sides. The one the west was dedicated to the local flora while the one on the east was the place to find all sorts of exotic flora and fauna. Behind the southern part of the house was the pool and barbecue area where the Kim's did most of their outdoor entertaining. A butterfly garden can also be found on the grassy lawns of the southern side which is used to entertain children when their parents come for business purposes.
The house itself was a work of different magic. Having undergone a series of vast remodeling endeavors over the period of two years following Mr. and Mrs. Kim's marriage has left the house more stunning than before. Naturally, it was all Mrs. Kim's idea and her husband went along with it without question, so know where the previous mansion stood, it was replaced with spectacular Greco-Roman architecture that make most people see them as more regal figures than political.
The tranquility that the house along with its inhabitants exuded was unparalleled to any that the nation had seen even before their human masters were overthrown.
Of course, not everyone was happy with this peaceful way of life.
And that would be the youngest member of the Kim Family, Kim Yoontae.
Kim Yoontae was the pride and joy of his parents Taehyung and Y/n, but he was also familiar with mischief. He was a little clone of his father, save the tiny mole beneath his right eye and his furry ears and tail were of a brighter orange-y hue.
Today the 6 year old, was lying flat on his back on the circular-shaped bed in his room in deep contemplation. Until then, it had never occurred to him that he existed.
Not that he didn't know he was alive, but being aware of his existence was a completely different thing. Someone could be alive and therefore that person exists, but a person could exist without living per se and in that case, existing is merely all that person does aside from, of course, being alive. But with that said, one could be alive without living. The child's ears began to twitch rapidly due to the brain percentage he was using at such a young age. However, this prompted him to delve further into the philosophy that surrounds his very being.
While he is alive, he exists. That was the conclusion he came to, but what of him once he died? Once someone is dead and buried, do they cease to exist? Or do they have a different form of existence then? Afterall, a body and its decaying remains can exist even after it is dead. Perhaps, it is not the existence that has changed at that point, but the definition of existence all together.
"Yoontae?" There was a soft knock at the door, before whoever it was opened it and stepped inside.
Yoontae turned to see who had intruded his thinking time, hoping to see a maid with a platter of snacks, only to be disappointed.
Jeon Somi, his bunny hybrid playmate, was back once more, but he couldn't allow himself to be bothered. He flopped back on his bed with a slight pout and closed his eyes hoping that she would get the hint.
Somi, who was a year younger, was greatly offended by this reaction to her arrival so she decided to try again.
"Yoontae!" She sing-songed while approaching the bed, "My daddy dropped me off so I could play."
"Go away I'm busy." Was the sharp response, that Somi in the heart. She felt her brown ears droop slightly, but was undeterred.
Somi hopped onto Yoontae's bed with a sudden thud that jerked her despondent playmate forward and of his bed all together. Gathering her might, she stood on his bed, hands on hips, and looked down at her astonished friend.
