So many times I tried to tell you,
Words got lost and became few,
I waited, hoping somehow you knew,
But you never gave me a view.
I needed you to tell me,
I would have surrendered freely,
I waited around hoping to see,
If you and I could ever be.
We made promises full of pain,
And our tears keep falling like rain,
Our hearts are wounded and slain,
Is this what we had hoped to gain?
Without you is my heart's burden,
Like chains binding my love, forever hidden,
Echoing through eternity unspoken,
Till time claims all and life is forsaken.
