Its been 3 weeks since Josie confessed having a crush on me and setting fire to my room. We barely spoke three words to each other after that.
As I'm walking down the hall to my first class of the day my mind wanders off again. How did I never notice her like that before? She was beautiful, I've never thought otherwise. Josie was the sweetest, brightest person I've ever met.. She could light up a room with that smile of hers, those dark chocolate eyes could bring the devil to its knees. And honestly, she was all I could think about lately.
I shake my head, I've got to stop zoning out like this. But right then and there Josie rounds the corner heading straight towards me, Lizzie by her side talking animatedly. She looks absolutely stunning wearing a cut off black jumpsuit showing off her long tanned legs. My breath caught in my throat. God those legs..
I felt my heart starting to beat faster as she got closer, my eyes slowly trailing up her toned calve muscles, passed her knees and up her thigh as a growl escaped my throat. I snapped out of it when I realized my fangs were out. Wow! What just happened?!
'Hope? Are you okay? Your eyes just flashed yellow and you look like you're about to eat Josie..'
I tried to focus on the voice talking to me when Landon stepped right in front of me.
Shaking my head I looked passed Landon when my eyes locked with Josie's. As soon as she saw me she froze for a split second before turning on her heels and heading the opposite direction. Lizzie stepped in my line of sight and looked at me with a sad smile on her lips, all I could do was look down.
'Hope?'
'Yeah I'm okay'. I answered. But truth be told, I wasn't.
Josie was avoiding me and it broke my heart every time she walked away.
'Come on, I'll walk you to class.' Landon said, luckily oblivious to what just happened. I followed him defeated without saying a word, I didn't trust my voice not to break.
