I nervously twirled my fingers around the fabric at the end of my white shirt as I lightly paced around in the woman's bathroom.

I don't know why I was so nervous but I was a complete wreck.

Planting my feet in front of the row of sinks, I leaned my hands onto the beautiful black colored marble counter before looking up to my reflection in the mirror. Worry began to fill my veins as I stared at myself looking over my appearance. Wearing simple gray dress pants and a plain white button-up formal t-shirt, I looked completely plain and ordinary.

I was entirely shocked when I got a call back for the reception job that Katie told me about early this morning but to my horror, they also set the interview for an hour later after contacting me. I don't think I have ever moved so fast before in my entire life. Finding something to wear, getting dress, waking up Leo and managing to throw on some light makeup while driving over to the company building was quite the task.

I couldn't thank Leo enough for waking up early on his day off to drive me to this interview so I could be professional get here early.

As soon as Leo and I pulled up to the building, I could tell it was going to be somewhere I was going to stand out... and not for a good reason. The outside of the building looked beautifully designed and stood out against the ordinary building that surrounded it. The inside was even more stunning. The floor was covered in a dark-colored tile that almost looked black, the walls were a gorgeous deep gray that flowed throughout the build and almost every piece of furniture looked as if it belonged in an art museum. It almost felt as if I walked straight into a magazine.

Looking so plain in such a beautiful place... there is no way I'm going to stand out to them... how was I going to get a job here?

I continued to stare into my reflection as if searching for an answer that was supposed to be there.

"You know what," I finally said to my reflection as I stood up tall, "You can do this. You're sweet, dependable and have a good work ethic! If they say no, then it's their loss! This isn't the only job on the market! So you are going to go into this interview and nail it!" I sternly pep myself up, giving myself a small boost of confidences as I quickly tucked in my shirt.

"Ok! Let's go!" I ordered to myself as I marched out the bathroom before I lost the confidence I had built up.

Marching out into the large lobby, I took a seat on a strange white zig zag leather couch that was located off to the side from the empty receptionist desk. As I watched the traffic zip by the windows outside, suddenly my back pocket buzzed to life causing me to jump slightly in surprise.

Pulling out my phone, a text message from Leo lit up my screen.

I'm 100% surethat you are shaking in your boots and wallowing in self-doubt by now, but if you have any of my DNA in your blood then you got this sista! I'm right across the street in The Random Coffee Shop if you need me! :)

I couldn't help but smile at the message before turning my phone on silent and placing it back into my pocket. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing uncle but whatever it was I was internally grateful, I honestly don't know what I would do without Leo.

The sound of high heels clicking against the hard tile broke me from my thoughts causing me to look up to where the sound was coming from.

A woman in a black business suit and matching black heels practically cat-walked her way over to me as her short black hair swayed with each step.

"I presume that you are Miss Elena Estelle Matthews?" She asked with a tight smile.

I stood up tall and held out my hand, "Yes ma'am, but I just go by Elena Matthews." I answered her. The woman smiled a little more before shaking my hand, "Well welcome Miss Elena Matthews, follow me this way please." She stated as she let go of my hand and began walking past the receptionist's deck that led to a pair of dark color elevators.
