Just In One Day (Jai Brooks)

Chapter 6

I woke up with Jai’s arms still around me. He just broke up with Ariana I can’t tell him I like him it’s too soon. It looks as if he moved on but I know he still loves her. I quietly got off his bed and going downstairs to my room to get ready. I was in the mood to go for a walk and see new places. I haven’t seen much since I came here.

I put on this nice casual collar dress, which was a dark purple color. I took to strands and clipped it on the back of my head with a bow clip. I put on my flats with a thin line of eye liner. As I got out of my room I saw Jai coming down the stairs.

“Goodmorning.” I said.

“ You look pretty, are you running away from me already.”

“Haha, I wanted to explore more around the place so I decided to go now before it’s too late.”

“Do you mind if I join you, I know some amazing places you can see.” He said smiling at me.

I nodded and waited for him to get ready didn’t take him a while. He was wearing a nice tang top with some jeans and a snap back. I couldn’t stop staring at him.

“Where are you going to take me first.”

“ To eat some breakfast, I’m starving.”  He said.

We went to a pancake place and order some nice stacks of pancakes and kept joking around talking and laughing. People gave us looks cause we acted like we were crazy but we didn’t care we we’re just having a fun time.

“Are you Faith?” A young fourteen year old asked me.

“Yeah, how do you know me?” I questioned.

“I’ve watched your videos on youtube. I’m a huge fan and was reall upset when you told us you can’t make videos anymore.” She started crying.

I totally forgot about me making Youtube Videos. I got so touched knowing that people still watch me and love me. I quickly got up from my seat and picked her up and took a selfie. After a while talkig to her she had to leave and so did me and Jai.

“You make videos?” Jai questioned.

“I used to when I was in highschool, because I really didn’t think I had a future of having a actual job. So I was making weird videos of doing prank calls or just advice videos etc. Didn’t know people watched me.”

“Why did you stop?”

“People at school would bully me non-stop it was getting way to over hand. People would laugh at me make posters of my videos with loser or bitch around the lockers. I thought everyone just hated my videos so no point in making more.” I sighed.

“That girl sure loved you though.”

“I know, but I don’t want to go back I’m in school now to become a nurse. That’s my dream job at the moment. I’m working really hard to get it.” I said.

“That’s good for you.”  He smiled.

I smiled back and we ended up having a really fun day and I saw so many different places which were so cool.

“Wanna head home now?” I said.

“Yeah it’s getting pretty late. You tired?”

“Yeah!”  I said in exhaustion.

“Hop on!”

I looked and he was ready to give me a piggy back.

“I’m going to break your back.” I laughed

“No you won’t”

I jumped on and he gave me a piggy back until I told him I can walk now. He let me go and while he let me go he dropped me.

“OH SHIT! Are you okay?!”

I started laughing. He put his hand out and I grabbed it. He asked if I was okay and  started laughing himself. He put a piece of my hair around my ear as we both looked into each other’s eyes.  He put his hand on the side of my cheek pulling my head towards him leaning me into a kiss. Before our lips met we heard a cough behind him. We both separated from each other and looked at the person behind Jai.

“Jai? Can I have a picture?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Could you take a picture of Jai and me” She asked me giving me a weird look.

I took the picture and the fan and Jai talked for a while. As they were talking I was thinking about what happened earlier. Were Jai and I actually about to kiss? Did he actually want to or was it just a moment thing, if that makes sense. Did he like me back? I had so many thoughts in my head. Jai hugged the fan and left. When we walked back home it was an awkward silence.

Jais POV

I was going to put her down but then it didn’t go the way I planned because I dropped her. I turned back seeing her on the ground laughing. Her laugh was beautiful but she hates it. I asked if she was okay because it was a hard fall but she was just laughing which made me laugh. Strands of hair came out from her cute bow clip and I wanted to move it from her face so I put it around her hair. She was so beautiful. Her light brown eyes couldn’t make me look away from them and I placed my hand on her cheek. As I leaned her in as she tiptoed to reach my height our lips were about to touch. I peeked from one of my eyes to see if she wanted the kiss or not and her eyes were shut close telling me she wanted it to happen.  The fan broke that kiss that was about to happen which made Faith take a step away from me. She looked embarrassed.
