Cast/ Voices / rub/ Slööp/
Mason gets out the car and asked a man for a wheel chair. I'm terrified but I can't freak out like I did. I have to be strong. I don't know if I can.
A nurse helps me into the chair. Mason would warmly smile trying to reassure me that everything was okay. I know that he he can senses something. He's magical like that. He thinks he knows me front and back. Oh baby do I have something wrong with me.
We're sitting in the waiting room. Mason held my hand and help me with some breathing practices, "Take deep breath Elijah , you're not a baby. Exhale slowly, close your eyes."
He keeps rubbing his hands on mine. "Elijah , just breathe! I'm not going to be your baby sitter! It won't even hurt."
What is he telling me, am I baby to him? I sit quite and listen to him. I'm mad that he's treating my fear as me trying to be spoiled and or babyish but, I won't say anything. I'll let him have his way. It's what he deserves. It's was he expects.
" Yes Mason," Mason looked up at the sky while cursing.
" For gods sake, I know you are just saying okay. You don't actually mean it. Look! You're still shaking."
" I'm sorry," I tried to see if that would work. I saw his heart break.
" Lets not fight here. Baby you want anything, coffee?"
" No, unless you want something."
     " I'm good."
A nurse walks in, " Elijah Sims?"
Mason jumps up, " That's us."
Mason wheels me over to the room. My heart kept a racing, Mason kisses my forehead. Mason please unbreak my heart.
We walking into the room and they have these weird tools first they take off the first layer of the cast. Usually it would have signatures on it. I had my eyes closed through most of it but, by the looks of it there was a line and they would take these scissors and would push them apart. They would do this for both sides of the cast. Later they start cut the cotton. After this I stop looking, I saw the pins and almost threw up.
Mason has to leave the room on multiple occasions, he did want to see me suffer.
After an hour of them talking me down and getting the cast off, I could go home. Although I had only my back cast, I could do more than ever. One of my hands was skinnier than the other and both of my legs felt tried. Tried but free.
I remember how Mason kept rambling about being happy and ready to take me home. I suggest that we could wait till I regain some energy, he agreed. I remember walking, Mason had so much fun "teaching" me how to walk again.
Mason gently lay me down on the bed than he slithered his way. Mason was in my favorite position, I would bury my face in his chest while he holds on to m me tight. I bounced in his trap. He was the shark, I was his goldfish.
Morning came around and by the time Mason woke up, I was walking around. I stayed close to the wall in case i fell. I've been walking around the walls for a whole hour and it final got to me. My legs are in pain. I sat on the bed massaging my calf, when all the sudden Mason wakes up.
"Elijah ?" Mason mumbled, "What are you doing?"
"I was walking a bit before you woke up."
Masons got up to check his phone. It's probably his employees or something like that.
"I got to go," Mason stretches, " Love ya."
I nodded my head. I hate when he went off to work but what could I do. After a while I started to stretch my muscles. After about an hour, I start to hear weird things. Like someone is calling my name. I follow the voice, I put my head on all four walls of the house and follow the voice. Since we have a 3 room home it wasn't like someone is hiding but, if someone was, how do they know my name?
"Hello?" Nothing answer. I start to get goosebumps and tear up a little. I hear two voices, I hear Mason.
"Mason," I yelled. The voice kept getting louder and louder to the point were I couldn't talk it. I ran out side. I kept running and running. The voice kept following me.
The sun was setting, I walking on the street bare foot. The voice stop about an hour ago but I ran so far away that I'm guess which way my house is at. I left my phone at home and Mason is 100% heading home. My legs are in pain, I have cramps, blisters, splinters, and bruises all over. My hair is a mess, when I head the voices I would pound my head. My clothes also were all dirty. After a while I sat down. My legs can't take it anymore. I just than curled into a ball on the streets. Right when I was going to sleep, Mason car is in back of me.
"Elijah !" Mason yelled. I turned over because I was scared. Mason usually never yells at me.
" What the fuck happen to you! Why did you leave the house!" I could tell we weren't just going to laugh this off like last time.
"Elijah , answer me!" I wanted to talk but the words won't come out. I stumbling over my own words.
"I-I was, the vo-voice told me, I-I," at this point Mason wasn't take it.
"Elijah  get in the car." I did what he told me. But I wouldn't walk. My feet wouldn't listen.
"Mason, my feet stopped working." Mason ran over to my feet.
"Elijah  what were you doing! Do you know how far you are from home? It took me half an hour to find you. I was terrified." Mason said while trying to hold back tears.
"I'm sorry for crying in front of you but when you do stupid things like this I can't help it. Elijah  how did your feet get this bad? Just yesterday you took off the cast! If you keep acting like this I could quit my job!"
"Or you can leave me," I whispered. Mason was shocked that I said it.
"Elijah , darling, why would I ever leave you?"
"Because," I burst into tears, "I'm crazy! Mason, you won't believe me but, if we broke up it would be better for you." Mason kept wiping his tears later, wiping mine.
"Baby, I'll never leave you. Baby you're my little fishy, I don't care if you're in a cast or crazy for the rest of your life! I'll sell my business, we'll move into a smaller home, and we could figure things out."
"Baby lets go home. My feet hurt."
I don't even remember what happened in the car. My feet hurt much I was just trying my best to sleep. Mason held my hand, softer than a cloud but, as dangerous as a thunderstorm. Mason wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Even when lighting and thunder spewed out of his mouth, he would still put me above the clouds. He put me above everything. I'm pretty sure Mason put me to bed. Now this all leads us to here. I'm can't open my eyes because I'm so tired but, I'm in too much pain to sleep.
From the sounds of it Mason is calling these weird doctor hotlines were you asked them question and they answer. I cant really tell. After about an half an hour of Mason freaking out, the doctor tells him a specific list of things he should do.  Mason comes over to me and sees if I'm awake.
"Hey Elijah ," he whispers, "you awake." I softly nod my head. He stepped back and disappeared from than on. I hear so shuffling through the cabinets but, I can't really rap my head around it.
After a while, Mason sits on the bed. Than I feel this cold liquid on my foot. He start rubbing my feet. After all that waiting, my feet are starting to feel better. He rubs my feet for a good two hours before I fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning, my foot kinda felt better. It was like a pop rock. It didn't seem like it hurt but, once you moved it... it hurt.
"You better not move," Mason said from across the room.
  "Mason?" I grunt.
"It will get worst if you do. Just leave it for a while and than do some stretches." I nodded. Mason turned on the tv for me but, to be honest, within the next 10 minutes I fell back to sleep.
